Former Fox News Golden Goose Glenn Beck went too far, or perhaps ‘A Little Bitty Tear (too many) Let Him Down? It would be interesting to see if the Vicks Vapor Rub folks have seen a rise or fall subsequent to a well-traveled video demonstrating the use of their product in providing plenty of ‘I love America’ tears for leaky Beck.
More germane to the story, Beck became ‘too radical’ for Fox and Roger Ailes when coincidentally Beck offended and lost upward of 57 advertisers. The folks with the checkbooks had been falling off, but they abandoned Fox in droves when Beck’s flights of fancy began to mimic KKK Theater. There should be and probably is a law against making up racially inflammable statements about white people and attributing them to the President.
Funny or Die has searched high and mostly low to find new sponsors for Beck. These sponsors are more simpatico with Beck’s feelings toward a black President of the United States, and are proud of it. One particularly appropriate store bears the motto: "A race war is coming – we’re starting it!" How well this describes the Fox ‘News’ agenda, with or without Glenn Beck.
