39 of 54 African Nations have laws against gays because of religion ESTABLISHING itself into those various governments. These laws are increasing influenced by American Evangelical Christianity.
Here in America we have the same problem with the states that do their best to ESTABLISH religion into their body politic. One can see from the US map that it takes hold also in the poorest and least educated states.
But notice this international cartoonist makes no mention of “religion” which is what drives the hate and intolerance. Much like the international press must always use the word “sectarian” rather than “religious” when describing religious factions blowing each others’ heads off.
And why is that? Internationally I would guess journalists do so to keep their heads attached to their bodies, but mostly it is about world leadership knowing that religion keeps that vast majority of the ignorant masses under control, keeps them less violent than they would otherwise be. For who has not heard the argument from believers that if their is no belief in God then there is nothing to keep them from killing their mothers and eating their children by the end of the day. Leaders and smart people who have been running the show for the past 50,000 years or so understand that, and it would be unwise to unleash all that pent up violence which could very well overflow into their own lives.
So please, for your own good help perpetuate it, SNAKES TALK. Oh and please help America by eating at Cracker Barrel and Chick Fil A, shopping at Hobby Lobby, watching Duck Dynasty and listening to what Sarah Palin tells you, she knows what she’s talking about.
