HUMOR IN UNIFORM: Today, the Texas A&M University system raised tuition for in-state students to $3900 per semester. Looks like my kid isn't gonna be in the Corps of Cadets after all. There goes the catchy bumper sticker that says "My Money and my son go to College Station." Maybe the Marines will take him and I can get a custom SUV bumpersticker that says "My tax dollars and kid go to Iraq" ... yuck yuch!
LIFE IN THESE UNITED STATES: Last night, Roy Lee Pippin was executed by lethal injection by the state of Texas for the fatal shootings of two cousins over missing drug money. It was the second execution in as many days by the state, which unfortunately isn't a record here in the Lone Star State ... BWAHA HA!
LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE: Ain't that the truth? Universal Health plans be damned. An apple a day is good medicine too -- Texans have no need for medical science or smart guys treating them. Just north of Houston in the ever-growing Tomball city limits, you got less dental visits per year than trips to all those chiropractor offices ... quack quack!
The truth isn't funny, but then again, have you looked at Reader's Digest lately?
This isn't aimed at minorities in general so much as just black kids from lower income *families.*
You see, this move was about IN-state tuition, since they are already handling the 'other problem' by demanding legislation for citizenship tests -- even for validictorians from South Texas (so Hispanics have out-of-state rates forced upon them after 12 years in Texan schools)
Because 2% and 3% is just too much ...
