Land of Violence

choCNN curmudgeon Jack Cafferty was dumb founded when he asked why these school shootings happen only in America. Hello...

Call it the FIRST world, the WEST, the INDUSTRIALIZED world or the CIVILIZED world no matter, America stands aloof. In magnitudes the United States beats the rest of that world in regards to:

Gun Availability,
Gun Violence, Rape, Assault, Corporeal Punishment, Capital Punishment, War

And there you have it Jack.

There seems to be three factors that differentiate us from the Rest of the West. Over the top capitalism, historically embedded racism and crazyass religion.

The first is about anger caused by our ever increasing disparity of wealth and class. The second concerns anger caused by exclusion, unfairness and bigotry. And the latter which shifts responsibility from the individual to the supernatural.  And there you have it America. Get your shit together.

Relative Reality Check: This happens everyday in THIRD world Iraq. EVERY DAY. And whose fault is that? The United States' propensity for violent solutions(war) and crazyass religion. Bad mix.

You SAID it, and it also came right out
of the mouth of the disenfranchised shooter of the week. What more do we
NEED here?

Seems the argument that if guns remain
within the reach of every citizen, these
killers would be taken down before they
do more damage was proven wrong once and
for all.

I ALSO NOTICE THAT YOU CANT KEEP REPLYING, YOU HAVE TO GO BACK UP AND HIT COMMENTS AGAIN. *RIGHT*? :)

The bold didnt work.
*the bold did not work*
(*did the bold work*)

Do you work?

#1.1.1.1.1.1 rack jite on 2007-04-21 21:10 (Reply)
It appears you're right that we have to
go up and hit comments again, unless we're
replying to the very bottom post.

Nope...to my surprise, when I hit
LINEAR, it allowed me to reply directly
to your comment about comments, and commenting direction TO comments.

I hope that cleared up the commenting
comment you'd commented upon?

However, previous to hitting Linear, I
DID have to go back to comments, select
the level I was responding to, then
comment.

Any comments?
:)

Okay, I THOUGHT that worked, until I
previewed it, so I've NO idea of where it will plunk it down right now.

And the Right laughs at anyone who uses a peace symbol, or a peace sign or advocates non violence... ITs what we are.

So how is the new comment area?
#2 rack jite on 2007-04-21 20:58 (Reply)
I'm likin' it the new comment area.

I just have to figure
out whether I'm commenting directly to
you as it promised, otherwise I sound
more disconbobulated than I AM. ;)

We KNOW it works in reply to the last
post reply generated, but selecting a previous one is what I'm trying next, so
pay no mind. (I heard that). ;)

Well this should confuse the hell out of you, because it sure does me!

What to you think? I like it. It doesnt have to go load the page the article is on for these comments to come up, so it saves time. I think it makes it look more like a message board. But I cant seem to find the linier thread business... Where will this one go?
When you click my name below comments what happens. Do yo usee my email address?
