Texas Conceal Carry Applications up 39 percent

The Texas Department of Public Safety has been swamped with a 39% increase in concealed carry permits for April compared to the same month last year. Processing has already been extended to 90 days rather than 60 days in previous years, there is a 45 minute wait on the phone and DPS is hiring to keep up with the demand.

The various news articles tell us no one knows why this is. Well I know why! It wasn't until April that Texans realized that a Black guy was going to be the next President of the United States. As this in not about sales, only a very little of it can be blamed on the conspiracy theory that they need to stock up before the Democrats take everyone's gun away. But talking to any Republican in Texas privately it's a no brainer. It's about what will happen next year if Barack Obama becomes President of the United States.
