Top Bunny and Bear killer Jim Zumbo Gets it in the Back

jim zumbo"Excuse me, maybe I'm a traditionalist, but I see no place for these weapons among our hunting fraternity, As hunters, we don't need to be lumped into the group of people who terrorize the world with them. . . . I'll go so far as to call them 'terrorist' rifles." Jim Zumbo

Read Washington Post Article

To humans, the above quote seems innocuous enough, but to America's Gunloons, it's heresy and treated as such. No matter Mr Zumbo pulled the offending quote from his blog within 24 hours. No matter he groveled on his knees in apology kissing so much ass his face turned brown. No matter, in two days the NRA had him fired from his lucrative job at OUTDOOR MAGAZINE, had all his endorsements taken away, and destroyed his reputation and his life. In just two days! For telling an obvious truth! And hey Zumbo, killing a bear is about as close to murder as one can get, after all, bears are more cognizant than most members of the NRA.

Jon Matthews, Right-wing Houston Radio Host gets 3 Years in Prison

jon matthewsJon Mathews, one of Houston’s best known local Right-wing radio hosts has proved to be just as personally disgusting as his radio talk. Rack Jite has gone toe to toe on the air with Matthews on not a few occasions. For twenty years he has been the Houston voice for the most extreme Right-wing reactionary crap in Houston, dwelling mostly upon overt racism and a gungoonery putting even the NRA to shame. The star of Houston's 24/7 Right-wing line up on Christian owned KSEV, this Law & Order advocate was recently sentenced to 3 years in prison for breaking his probation from a 2004 conviction of exposing himself to an 11 year old girl.

Read Article in The Houston Chronicle

At the time of his original conviction one could go to the KSEV forums to see his admirers line of defense. Believe it or not, that defense was that the 11 year old girl looked older than she was. She was a neighbor kid who came to his house to pet his dog for crying out loud.

Though his abject bigotry and racism -- and like Rush Limbaugh, his endless name dropping of the mucky mucks he met on the golf courses of Harris County -- it was his singular NRA gungoonery that most defined him. A day seldom passed without his ranting and raving over the Brady Bill or advocating assault weapons for white people. In fact when Texas passed a bill to have all cars pass an emissions test which cost drivers $21.50 every two years, he lead an armed march on Austin to stop it in its tracks. Which here in Dumbass, USA worked.

Matthews, Houston's most notable racist radio host is now on his way to that big black dominated cheap hotel, without his assault rifles! How sad.

Al Gore's Night Out

Al Gore at OscarsJust a few weeks ago the most hated Dixie Chicks sweep the Grammy's. I could feel the wingnut's blood pressures rising, see their faces turning purple and hear the clicks of lock and loading. Now with a liberal sweep of the Oscars, I am concerned with the mental health of our conservative friends.

Right-wing radio will be in convulsions over last night's Academy Awards for weeks to come. An audience of a billion people were treated to a standing ovation for Al Gore. A man who has succeeded in pushing the most serious matter of our time in an amiable, humorous, artful and productive fashion. The win of An Inconvenient Truth for Best Documentary was a win for Al Gore. As is his probable win for this years' Nobel Peace Prize. Also a shoe in for President of the United States if he wanted to suffer such indignities again.

If that were not enough for Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly and that gang of Gore and Global Warming Haters, the evening was hosted be Ellen Degeneres, not only a woman, but a lesbian to boot. Speaking of lesbians, the Oscar winning song I Need to Wake Up, emotionally and wonderfully preformed to a billion people was by another lesbian, Melissa Etheridge (who thanked her "wife and children") causing millions of red state crackers to implode. That too, another win for Al Gore.

hBut the coup de grace was when Happy Feet won an Oscar for Best Animated Movie. Taliban movie critic, Michael Medved must be on the verge of either a coronary or perhaps contemplating suicide. To remind yourself just how intensely and perversely Mr. Medved despised this children's movie, read the article Kill the Penguins here from December down the page

Of course the Hollywood story was Martin Scorsese who finally got his just due with wins for best director and best movie with The Departed -- even though Babel was the best movie of the year. But who can complain, Marty was more than deserving of the award.

Can you imagine what Lou Dobbs would have said if Babel, a movie produced and directed by Mexican nationals concerning the emotional heroics of illegal immigration had won? My God! Boggles the mind...

Letter to a Fatass Nation

fat ass americaWe can quickly define many other countries; Italy is so romantic, the Germans are beerly regimented, the French are soft and snotty and the British are... Fish & chipsie. The growing view of America is that we are a violent egomaniacal bank, but FATASS is understood as the vernacular.

The physical size of our asses is not really the issue -- though ass size and knowing sports and celebrity trivia are a few of the things we really are number one at in the world. No, it's our lazy consumption of shallow minutia that defines us as people. Did you hear Britney shaved her head? What about the diapers? Have they buried her yet? Who did best with that ball this weekend? Any pedophiles in the news? And topping it all off is the anger we generate at each other over even more minute minutia.

I read three letters in my local paper today that some guy over on Pebblebrook Ln. left his 14' boat in the driveway all weekend! Yes indeed! My neighbor Bob stepped in some dog poop in his front yard last week. Wow! He kicked his shoe off, threw it over his house into the backyard and turning purple he screamed about guns, shooting dogs and suing neighbors! And even closer to home, the DVR failed to record Tuesday's Dr. Phil! It doesn't get much worst than that, let me tell you.

Our neighbors have become nothing more than potential trespassers, other cars are the enemy, service means someone to bitch at, and now many red states intend to override the Constitutional, human, legal, and civil rights to groups of people they don't happen to like. All this as Abaia with a garbage bag wearing her black burka, climbs through the rubble that was once her home collecting the body parts or her children.

Letter to a Dumbass Nation

Sometimes a small innocuous article on page 17 of section 2 can jump off the page and mess you up. That was the case today when I read a little NYTs story syndicated in The Houston Chronicle.

Seems an ill informed Arkansas state legislator (a Democrat) thought to designate January 29th as Thomas Paine Day. If you know the Thomas Paine story, you also know that anywhere South of Chicago is not the place to even mention this particular Founding Father. After Paine returned from witnessing the French Revolution and writing profusely that religion, politics and morality should be considered by cognitive means, and the use of something called reason, that the public pressure of 18th Century religious dogma caused even our Founding Fathers to literally shun him. He died alone and was buried in a pauper’s grave.

So you can well imagine what happened in Little Rock the other day. The top DUMBASS in the state, Republican state legislator Sid Rosenbaum, rallied the rest of his fellow Republicans to defeat the measure, arguing that in his classic book, Age of Reason, Paine stated a preference for reason over religion. As such, Thomas Pain was anti-Christian as well as anti-Jewish. Reason is indeed anathema to every DUMBASS in America, who lately seem to be once again defining their borders the same as they did in 1861.

Nobel Peace Prize Goes To... RUSH LIMBAUGH!

February 1, 2007

Professor Ole Danbolt Mjos, Chairman, Norwegian Nobel Institute

Henrik Ibsens Gate 51, NO-0255, Oslo, Norway

Dear Dr. Mjos:

Landmark Legal Foundation herewith submits the name of Rush Limbaugh as an unsolicited nomination for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

We are offering this nomination for Mr. Limbaugh's nearly two decades of tireless efforts to promote liberty, equality and opportunity for all mankind, regardless of race, creed, economic stratum or national origin. We fervently believe that these are the only real cornerstones of just and lasting peace throughout the world.

Rush Limbaugh is a nationally syndicated radio talk show host in the United States and one of the most popular broadcasters in the world. His daily radio show is heard on more than 600 radio stations in the United States and around the world. For 18 years he has used his show to become the foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today. Everyday he gives voice to the values of democratic governance, individual opportunity and the just, equal application of the rule of law -- and it is fitting the Nobel Committee recognize the power of these ideals to build a truly peaceful world for future generations.

Thank you for your thoughtful and serious consideration of this nomination. Should you require additional information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely, Mark R. Levin, President

Landmark Legal Foundation - The Ronald Reagan Legal Center - Interesting enough, where Rush Limbaugh happens to be a board member
