Mrs Palin seems to be that nasty intolerant airhead who seems to always find her way onto some school board wanting to push her intolerant version of Jesus upon your children (and all children). What goes on outside America - or often even outside her county or state - is alien to her. This bonds with the low intellect that cannot parse anything more complicated than, "If its in the Bible I believe it."
This lack of mental capacity has got me thinking that the pundits may be wrong, Mrs Palin is not smart enough to become the Junior Senator from Alaska. Rather she can make the big money and the big celebrity status by becoming Sister Sarah. Modeled after Sister Aimee McPherson who dominated Evangelical America for the first half of the 20th Century. BTW, McPherson turned out to be a crook who finally OD'd on downers...
I would first like to take issue with the writers at the Colbert Report from missing the standard retort to that wingnut news anchor throwing the infamous Karl Marx quote at Senator Biden who so rightly asked if she was joking.

Secondly, I was late to the gate in understanding why the term "Spreading the Wealth Around" gained such long legs to become the last Hurrah of the McCain campaign. The term defines taxation, which all political systems must use to survive more than a few weeks, so WTF is this about then, it makes no sense?
To those humming the refrain "Wealth" means white people's money and "spreading around" means giving it to lazy Negroes. When this came to me the other day and I mentioned my insight to friends and family all I got was a blank stare and a drawn out "Well duhhhhhhhhhh.... "
So my question is, if everyone knows that, why can't the media say so? I know the answer to that! Unlike Blogs and talk radio, the mainstream media cannot assume what someone may think, or in fact what they know everyone thinks. That is subjective and not allowed.
For most of my life I have not been able to fly the American Flag because I did not want my friends and neighbors to think I was an uneducated intolerant Right-wing bigot. The change in the wind is now blowing true enough that I can put it up with a bit of pride rather than embarrassment.
Allen Greenspan finds a flaw in his theory on how the world works! Meaning the financial world needs to be regulated because there are very selfish crooked people in the world! What is so interesting about this is that in showing the equal angst from both sides, we find that the Right side's argument is based on lies (Obama muslim terrorist) while the Left side is based on the truth (war mongering old man with an idiot running mate). The problem, which presents itself by Mr. Oliver not making that point, is that the truth doesn't matter ONE WIT anymore. Its seems the dumber one is, the more one believes only what one wishes to believe.
The Washington DC jury found Alaska Senator Ted Stevens - Joe the Nastyman - guilty of seven felony counts for receiving a quarter million dollars from oil executive Bill Allen. Or as Republicans would call him, Joe the Crook. By the way, you do know where all this "Joe The..." business came from that John McCain pounds so much?
It comes from his best pal once Texas Senator Phil Gramm, the loudest advocate of unregulated free market madness to hold national office. Can we call Phil Gramm, Joe the Economist? Gramm used the same game in all his elections including his run for President. It was Dicky Flatts the Printer. Down here in Dumbutt we used to hear so much about Dicky Flatts the poor printer who made half a million a year, that often during Phil Gramm speeches people from nearby Oklahoma could here a hum of the Texas electorate crying "Oh No! Not Dicky Flatts again!"
Speaking of Phil Gramm, it was only a few weeks ago that Phil - the spokesman for the father of unregulated free markets Milton Friedman, and our generations' unregulated free market spokesman Fed Chairman Allen Greenspan - was going to be McCain' top financial advisor in his cabinet. There has been a change of plans in that it seems.
There are three interesting issues regarding the Ted Stevens verdict.
First is the ongoing news that one jury member was a hysterical and potentially violent member which the jury told the judge they could not deal with. As soon as that person was replaced a guilty verdict came down. During that news cycle, and it being DC, Americans saw that person as one of those overweight black women with an attitude. You betcha we did! Turns out to be just the opposite, some crazyass Republican operative in the jury room...
Secondly is can Ted the Crook still win his Senate seat in the up coming Election in Alaska? Figuring Alaskans like shooting wolves from airplane, have their bars open until 5am and think Sarah Palin is an intellectual (probably related to the bars being open so late) what's a little graft from a nasty asshole like Ted Stevens? It's a tossup, very hard to poll.
And lastly, if Stevens wins and goes to jail, will he be replaced by the junior Senator from Alaska Sarah Palin?

With the recent news cycle finding that Joe was not the name of newly ordained conservative pundit Joe the Plumber, I think we will call these guys Joe the Rebs.
The men planned to not only assassinate Barack Obama, but also murder 88 other blacks and and extra 14 more which they would also behead. A black school was in the plans. 88 and 14 have to do with Skinhead atonement to white supremacy and Adolph Hitler. It was not known whether they planned to decapitate Obama or what they were going to to with the heads.
