I removed the video because it was just more patronizing of perhaps the most disgusting human being in American Politics today. It contains nothing other than the standard convoluted financial doubletalk this, the ultimate Tea Bagger hides behind. 

There is a serious media problem concerning Ron Paul. He lives down the road piece here in Dumbutt and I have been following his antics for most of 25 years now. I am not fooled by him as it seems so many many others are. Ron Paul for Dummies

Jon Stewart is one of many television pundits who fail to ask this lunatic the questions that clear up exactly who and what he is. Like what do you think of Medicare. Or Social Security? Or evolution? Or machine guns with free crank?

Ron Paul is a bigot, a racist, and above all a Christian Evangelical fundamentalist nutcake who makes Glenn Beck seem sane.  Ron Paul decries the War on Religion.

With that said allow me to list the bad followed by the good. First a few direct Ron Paul quotes:

"I think it (evolution) is a theory and I do not accept it."

"Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions."

"I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city [Washington DC] are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

"As it was written I would vote against the Civil Rights Act of 1964."

Now let us briefly go over his policies.

Abolish affirmative action!

A Constitutional Amendment to allow states to force Christian prayer in public schools.

Give creationism and Intelligent Design equal footing in public schools science classes.

Repeal of Roe V Wade!

Against embryonic cell research.

Against ALL federal funds for the arts!

Advocate for parents who refuse medical help for their children.

Advocate of private, religious, home schooling and voucher systems over public education.

Abolish the Department of Education!

Abolish Medicare and Medicade!

Abolish Social Security!

Abolish the FED.

Abolish the IRS.

Abolish the EPA.

Deregulation of Banks.

Deregulation of Wall Street.

Opposes equal pay for women.

Opposes minimum wages.

Opposes gay adoptions.

Opposes criminalizing dog fighting.

Opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Supports a Constitution Amendment to remove the alien birthright clause.

Supports a 3000 mile Mexican border fence.

Supports the vigilante group The Minutemen.

Supports English Only education.

Supports "don't ask don't tell" policy in the military.

Legalization of hard drugs.

Enjoys an NRA triple A+++ rating.

But he does have some good points which allow him a free ride with television pundits of all stripes.

Legalization of Pot.
Against the unfair War on Drugs!
Against capital punishment.
Against war in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
And he don't like Neocons!

California farmers have been suffering a great drought for sometime now. So they have joined Tea Bagger America with Sean Hannity to express their anger over big government intervention into their lives! OMG!

In this case their compliant concerns the half billion dollar (in 1935 money) big government reservoir they depend on for their very lives. Big government  which turned their desert into farmland. But now they want the evil big government to drain the already lower than ever resevoir so they can water their nuts.

The problem of course concerns a series of logical steps about the food chain killing off endangered salmon and raising the salanity of the water to levels that will cause their nuts to not need subsequent salting by Morton.

As you can see by the video, Hannity and friends just do not have the intellectual capacity to understand cause and effect, or in fact much of anything at all. Thinking is cause for booing. And these people always make sure to vote! Which is the bottom line problem we have here in the United States of Duh. Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck are smarter than most voters. Which should scare the Hell out of you.

Comedian Christian Finnegan joins Countdown to talk about former Majority Leader Tom DeLay and his recent performance on Dancing With the Stars, which I am now convinced pays exceptionally well. Partner Cheryl Burke deserves a medal of valor. Grab a peek at DeLay's practice session. Burke choreographed a staid and uncomplicated Tango where he needed do little more than meet up with her and walk in time with the music, with a few flourishes thrown in, while all eyes followed her until the dramatic grand finale, where in theory she would roll into him with momentum and he would catch her for a dramatic dip.

Ms Burke was gracious enough to ask if DeLay was okay while she remained perilously tipped toward the floor thanks to an unexpected improvisation by DeLay, who - in an effort to catch and dip her, was swooped along by her momentum..skating a bit, as she rolled in to dip low for the grand finale, leaving her very close to improvising one which might have included rolling across the floor seductively, assuming she didn't have a concussion. Grudgingly, to his credit...ah you know you want to watch it yourself!

In Literature Today, Christian Finnegan shares a few salient points about Sarah Palin's newly released Big Book. He ponders who will read it - and if any of them are named Sarah, and how fans might acquire it. For my part,I can think of many things to do with the ghost-written, 400 page tome, not the least of which is as a handy block for your tires when parking on a steep hill. Eric Burns from mediamatters.org joins Countdown to discuss yet another non-issue just brought to the fore and manufactured by Faux. They're showing clips of school children singing a song about the president from elementary schools, one in New Jersey, the other in No. Carolina, which constituted only one minute of a 26 minute program. Both programs took place in the same week seven months ago - during Black History Month! Parents did not object, as the lyrics were sent home for their approval.They are hot now! They did not give their approval for their children's faces to be used on "Fox News" particularly in this twisted manner.

Fox would have you believe this Chairman Mao - like "indoctrination" happens daily putting your children 'at risk,'and is far more insidious than the actual message, study hard and be nice to one another! Fox boldly lies that no interaction took place between President and Mrs. Bush. After viewing the grateful survivors of Katrina singing with Mrs. Bush, it might have been better had they not brought that topic up at all. We would all do well to take Eric Burn's words to heart, and dismiss the idea that Fox is anything more or less than a right wing noise machine, with the clear and stated goal of making this president fail - whatever it takes. Palin excused firing former Safety Commissioner Walt Monnegan as a "rogue." His sin was attempting to secure money for sexual assault victims, rather than paying for their own rape kits, in a state where they have the highest rape statistics per capita. Make sure you watch this video until the end to see public school children sing a far more hitlerian song to President George W and First Lady Laura Bush. A song not only adoringly politicizing them both, but about the success of how the President dealt with Katrina no less!  Gosh...

So now the Republicans and their gang of wingnuts at Fox News are going after the nations premier advocate for the arts - the NEA (this is the National Endowment for the Arts not to be confused with the other NEA, the National Education Association which Republicans hate even more]. After all, artists stopped doing only GOD after the Renaissance and teachers stopped doing GOD in public schools in the 60's, both groups have been nothing but trouble for Republicans ever since.

Remember that greatest of human rights violations in China in the Seventies called the Cultural Revolution? Remember who they put in dunce hats and paraded through the streets taking them to jail and re education camps? Teachers and artists... Hmmm.... 

Republicans want an immediate investigation of this song by 1st graders which took place to no complaints after President Obama's Inauguration as the first African American President. Republicans want to punish those who politicized our government schools! Of course as with so much Wingnut crap of late, this claim is absurdly Beckian in nature as the song and the lyrics were sent to the parents of the kids which all approved. So no one was forced to do anything by anyone... At all.

On the other hand, the very Republicans screeching for this investigation said investigating the Justice Department for  politicizing our entire system of law, and investigating the CIA for torture which destroyed our reputation abroad, ARE WITCH HUNTS. 

And of course the coup de grace of this video.

In 2004 Jon Stewart appeared on CNN Crossfire to decry the back and forth angst. The show was then hosted by Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson. After Stewart and Carlson went at each other for a time Carlson quipped, "I think you're more fun on your show." Jon Stewart closed the show, Tucker's careeer and subsequently Crossfire itself by replying, "You know what's interesting though? You're as big a dick on your show as you are on any show." Here's a little video, just one of many that you're not likely to see on Fox "news" this week. Beck having been asked to attend "Glenn Beck Day" by Mayor Nichols received little love back 'home' but did motivate the small town city council into unprecidented speedy action! Never having awarded or lauded anyone from the city, they were not about to have Beck be the first, and drafted a resolution stating they did not recognize or support the mayor's delusion. Hence, the award ceremony was held behind closed and locked doors.

The day wasn't a wash-out for the emotional Beck. His people had apparently arranged a rather hush-hush rally at Seattle's Safeco field, where scarcely a liberal was to be found outside the gates protesting, and all inside the stadium were cheering and booing at all of the appropriate moments. As the G.O.P."everyman" you cannot begin to imagine the doors which have opened to him in less than a year - and slammed him in the behind, truly you cannot, but all represented the G.O.P. in some way, shape, or form! I am sure the NAACP and every other African American organization knows they are next on this Republican hit list.

With this video showing Fox News, Chris Wallace and the Republican Party so gleefully - and wet your pants joyously - making superheros of these two nastyass wingnuts, I have to wonder if indeed that so profound are our differences that it is genetic.

The Nature of the Beast.

Even taking the obvious low road of racism out of this, what is left is a political ideology claiming the moral high ground because it not only could care less about the least of us, but actively blames them, tries to take away what little they have and goes this far out of their way to give them that extra kick in the mouth. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now was formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1970. Its charter was to push for free school lunches for poor grade school children, help Vietnam Veterans home from the war, and getting more emergency rooms available in the inner city. It is now funded primarily by half a million dues paying members and supports 1000 employees. Well it seems it is now 995 as a few of the dumbest were recently let go. Who could not smell that scam is beyond me. I guess the reasoning was be nice to eveyone, which has been the failure of Liberals for... For... about a million years...

ACORN is now the largest community organization in America. It is based in the inner cities of 40 states to help the poor deal with issues of housing, predatory credit, minimum wage, unemployment - and of course the reason behind all this - getting African Americans out to vote. It is responsible for getting 1.3 million new voters out in 2008. The words "community organizer" are Republican code for unsavory black people who cause white people trouble.

Barack Obama was a community organizer in Chicago and a law firm he worked for defended ACORN in a few cases.

Though voting fraud accusations against ACORN abound, they are for the most part propaganda games played by talk radio hosts. What few there have been do not matter a wit or a nit, were dealt with by ACORN itself and there have been no indictments or convictions.

Remember Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Turdblossom Karl Rove in trouble for politicizing the Dept of Justice? Well this was the issue, they were trying to depress the minority vote which ACORN was the leader in.

Enter the Pimp James O'Keefe. A mostly unemployed conservative activist who presently distributes Right-wing literature to college campuses. He made a name for himself at Rutgers University with a silly Lucky Charms lawsuit pretending that what the Irish suffer is no different that what African Americans suffer. A reach so far into such insane crap it absolutely is racism. It is what the guy is mostly about, kicking Negroes down... 

Enter the Whore Hannah Giles a right-wing Florida preacher's daughter who spent the Summer training at the National Journalism Center which was also the training ground for Ann Coulter.

Enter conservative columnist Andrew Breitbart an especially angry Right-winger who writes for the conservative newspaper the Washington Times. Breitbart was about to kick off his new website blasting Hollywood Liberals - Big Hollywood - and O'Keefe appeared at his doorstep with these tapes, and here we are.     

Other bit players in this the beyond the pale looneybin The Cato Institute, the almost as crazy Leadership Institute, Fox News, Fox News Sunday, Clash Church, Washington Times, Townhall.com and of course the standard gang of talk radio players Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage and Glenn Beck.
