Bill O'Reilly has finally allowed his vindictive nature to drive him over the edge. For most of a week he has been on a crazyass campaign comparing America's most popular progressive blog, The Daily Kos, to David Duke, the KKK and the NAZIS.
And all this time we thought that the KOS was that big boring blog that was way over our heads. O'Reilly's argument is based upon searching the hundreds of comments to each of thousands of articles and cherry picking a handful he finds personally offensive. Mostly things disparaging the Pope and hoping Dick Cheney will drop dead. KOS has a comment disclaimer and none of his authors have made these statements, KOS is guilty of the worst sin in O'Reilly's play book, allowing free expression on the net. With that said:
Bill! Your pal the Pope really really was a Nazi and I hope Dick Cheney drops dead!

There is a problematic dynamic in this. Hypocrisy is now such a natural state of affairs with conservatives that it no longer news or of interest.

O'Reilly is right on the mark. Liberals are intolerant bigoted fascists who are worse regarding free speech than any conservative!
I hope all liberals die.

It's also a good bell weather as to how conservatives are doing. When they are all red in the face and screaming at Juan and Mara you know they are in deep doo doo.
Anoher example was when the Gropenator was running for Gov., there was an Ahh-nold movie on 24/7 on some channel. So much different from when Ray-Gun was runnong and the networks weren't (were not) allowed to run any of his movies/TV shows until after the election.
What could get him to hate US more than KOS - which I'm sure he doesn't read?

I'm with dontlikekosdontlikeoreilly on this one - though without his/her adamant passions. For anyone to claim that Daily Kos is a liberal web site beggars imagination! In my opinion, Daily Kos is all about the status quo - its glorification, propagation and low budget maintenance, exactly like O'Reilly, except from a mock, "leftist" perspective.
The sad fact is the USA has slipped so far to the right politically and so deep in the shit hole of world regard, (thereby cutting its citizens off from diverse world opinions), that bromides like Daily Kos, (and many more), appear to be progressive only because you have nothing to compare them to other than the televised pornographic propaganda (like Bill O'Reilly), that yours (American) and my (Canadian) MSM prefer to smother us in. Average citizens, unsophisticated in their use of the web, or without the curiosity and commitment to seek out the truth wherever they may find it, have no more chance of hearing or seeing objectively reported news or commentary in North America than an ant, living in an glass-encased ant farm, has of seeing the world.
Only under these circumstances can Daily Kos be termed “liberal” or, don’t make me laugh, “progressive”.
And I know there are holes in my written logic you can drive a truck through. Just don’t use them as an excuse to ignore the salient point of my post which is that web sites described in the media as “progressive” or “liberal” can be guaranteed to be no such thing. They just want you to think they are.
Ask yourself this… Have the powers-that-be ever told you the unvarnished truth about anything? So why would they start in their descriptions of web sites - especially web sites with the potential to sway the large middle of public opinion either way?
