Check out our spinoff site for more People are Strange (funebrity.com)
This today, from The Cobweb Corners Newsweb & Movie Review proves once again the axiom that truth is always stranger than fiction, and newspapers are better than news sites for swatting flies, when even the webs can’t deplete the buzzing population. (Good-bye Weekly World News).
Three 21 year old lads had apparently given up on places such as "real life" singles meeting places like “E-Harmony”, yahoo groups, or even My Space. Instead, they took the road much less traveled, and let their fingers do the walking in-of all places, the obituary section. All three were smitten by the photo of a 21 year old girl, who had met an untimely end the week before in a motorcycle accident.
On Sept 2nd, the two twin brothers, Alexander and Nicholas Grunke, and their pal, Dustin Radke set out to “meet” the girl who had caught their lustful and obsessive attention. While the road to love is rocky, it was all the more difficult, as she had been laid to rest in a cemetery in Cassville, Wisconsin.
The three equipped themselves, and drove to the cemetery with shovels, anxious to meet and get to know (in a biblical sense) the woman who had so enchanted them. Their ardor proved stronger than their backs however. While resting, another late night prowler caught sight of them and phoned 911. You would expect the book to be thrown at them.
Much to the surprise of prosecutors, the judge, and angry citizens, the most they could be charged with was misdemeanor attempted theft. You see, there is no law against necrophilia in Wisconsin… though I doubt the Chamber of Commerce will add that to their list of “things to do”.
The case was recently brought up on appeals. For various reasons, the three still couldn’t be charged beyond the misdemeanor. New laws expected to be enacted because of them, would make it a felony punishable by 6 yrs in prison, and a $10,000 fine.
Do you believe it should be punishable retroactively, or should the Cassville Cemetery Three remain free after satisfying the punishment for misdemeanor attempted theft?

But as to the legality it is akin to bestiality, as there is no victim that cares one way or the other, what the hey.
Also reminds me of Jimmy Carter who believes the thought of the act is as bad as the act itself. Which is bullshit. And of course one of those commandments near the end. Coveting.
They were coveting the dead.
So they will go to hell no matter the law.
Wisconsinite.
Somehow tipping cows seems a lot more whimsical and harmless. ;)
Then again, I do hail from the state where
sex with animals is a business.
"No ... ex post facto Law shall be passed."
Are you freaking kidding me? Yeah, let's just throw the US Constitution out the window. It's clearly more important to persecute some necrophiliacs than uphold Article I Section 9-10.
brought this to the fore.
