This one was just a few blocks from here. A DUI sting caught the bride and groom driving from their wedding reception to their nearby hotel room.
So another stupid and bad cop not only ruined this couple's wedding but perhaps their lives over the Republican Rule of Law.
The police would not allow the bride to change her clothes, they brought in photographers and pointers and gawkers and made her sleep on the floor in her wedding dress. Bride Files Complaint About Jail Treatment
These stupid and bad cops including the stupid and bad organization MADD should have - as any human would have done - parked their car and either drove them (or called them a cab) to take them to their hotel room which was just down the street for christsake!
But non human Republicanism had taken over Bay Area Blvd that night and along with MADD did the wrong thing. Perhaps there will soon be a movie by that name. I hope so!
These bad and stupid cops were only enforcing the Republican Rule of Law, or Republicanism.
You will remember that 10 years ago Republicans put a Blow Job on the front page of every damn thing for a year. Yes, a blowjob everywhere you went, everywhere you looked, The Lewinsky, The Hummer, The BJ... Grandmothers all over THE WORLD were having to explain to 3 year olds what oral sex was for christsake! It was the most disgusting year in American Politics. Republicans. Republicanism. Rule of Law.

If you you think the cops were right in this, you too have lost your humanity to Republicanism, which, as we lose our cars and homes and jobs, we are finding is worse than even Socialism.
I don't think there is much expectation of squeaky clean conditions when you get thrown in the drunk tank. It's probably like the floor in the Greyhound bus depot 5 minutes after the cleaning crew finishes their hourly rounds.
I'm no fan of drunk driving, but under the circumstances, with the hotel right down the street, they could have been ticketed and as you said, a cab called.
