If you want to know what Republicans are thinking, listen to what The Klan is saying.
I have a question.
Of the 45,000 people who die each year for not having health insurance, how many do Americans think are black or Hispanic.
a) All b) Almost all
I was watching Newt Gingrich who was responding to the annoying question, what has a Republican ever done for anyone?
Newt said that the biggest success was HIS Republican Contract on America that he and President Clinton working together to rid America of having to give poor women and children welfare. The most important thing Republicans accomplished, he repeated.
I have another question.
Of all the people on welfare in 1996, how many did Americans believe were black?
a) All b) Almost all
And there you have the driving force of American politics since our inception...

Guns for knives swap down at the elementry school! Gotta love it, so American.
Though this bit of satire is more generic to AM Radio than to Glenn Beck himself, it does get the the crux of the matter: "Social Justice" is THE code word for "Helping People." OMG!
Enter Father James Martin, one of those much hated "liberation theology" Catholic Priests, who here in America are even more reveiled than those who pork alter boys.
Liberation Theology is anthema to Republican Politics as it takes the form of all that bleeding heart do-gooding crap that American religion has no business in. It tries to help the poor and disposessed out of their misery in the HERE AND NOW rather than suffering their entire lives waiting for relief in the next world. Perhaps Liberation Theology could be best defined as to what it is not. A sucker bet.

Though bent penises are an important topic it just doesn't hit home for me. I think this may be because of the little discussed truth that women know far more about the outside world of wood than men do.
It is the second piece here that I can relate to as a sometimes computer consultant. I have found the hardest thing to do is explaining to my computer retarded fellows what a File is, or what Directory and Folders are. And of course the difference between memory and storage which will forever go blank in their minds.
But explaining FILES so often causes that blank look, or the more disengaged look out the window. In fact I have found trying it quite often generates so much anger that I feel lucky to escape the process without bloodshed. Answer: A file is some amount of computer code that has a name. With an extension that explains what KIND of code it is. Like .dll. Try explaining .dll to a newbie!

This piece of satire is destined to become a classic which will forever define Glenn Beck as the silliest clown to ever be given radio syndication or a show on network television. [Well other than Howard Beale who was fictional]. I found the only thing wanting in this great and grand sketch by Jon Stewart was a reference to the movie "Network".
"Go to your windows! Stick your head out and yell, I AM MAD AS A HATTER! WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE! PROGRESS IS CANCER! SOCIAL JUSTICE IS MARXISM! ECONOMIC JUSTICE IS NAZISM!"
As you watch this as you try keep from falling out of your chair in snot-snorting delight please keep in mind two far more serious issues.
1) If there were not tens of millions of people who believe Glenn Beck's crap he would not be around. Yes indeed! Tens of millions of American are that mud dumb stupid. You can see them in the public square most every weekend with their ugly signs, stupid slogans, and angry nonsense. The Tea Party movement led not only by Glenn Beck but also, Dick Armey, Congressman Ron Paul, Senator Jim DeMint, Chillbilly Sarah Palin and my own Governor Rick Perry of Texas.
2) What Glenn Beck pushes is the covert heart of conservative ideology. Progress and equal justice are their enemy today just as they have always been when they advocated slavery, Jim Crow, child labor while fighting against women voting, unions, public education, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, civil rights act, voting rights, evolution and now even standing against the life of the very Earth they live upon. It is the nature of the Beast.

This is timely. I just had a conversation with a friend about a project he was pondering. Before snapping out of it, he'd convinced himself that iPads were a must along with several other high tech gadgets and programs to do what he eventually concluded could be accomplished several hundred dollars more cheaply and with less frustration all around without. Serafinowicz arrives at the perfect application for this project. I'd lost contact with one exactly like it, but feel I could learn to manipulate it again, which is a fairly brazen statement for anyone who knows my learning disability with technology more complicated than the on/off button.

Catharine Pierce of Boulder, Colorado continues to garden nearly nude. Last year, she tended her pansies while wearing only pasties on top, nothing on the bottom. Reviews were mixed. This March her ensemble of a yellow thong and pink gardening gloves with a bare breast has raised another controversy. Ironically, Boulder bans public nudity at Coot Lake, a gathering spot for nudists for decades, and state law prohibits exposing genitals, but the most police could do with Mrs. Pierce was suggest she put on a shirt, due to complaints by some neighbors, a suggestion she declined legally, it's not an offense to show female nipples in Boulder.

It's generally assumed that the nursing and care giver professions draw the line at sex, with reality and fantasy meeting only in cheesy costume shops, but that's not always the case. Some patients are claiming that sexual gratification should be standard care, the kind of remark likely to win you a bedpan hat in the U.S.
The Dutch nursing union has launched a campaign hoping to clarify their stance on the extra special care called " I Draw the Line Here" saying "This type of action is not part of the job responsibilities of carers and nurses." Nursing is demanding work, they can't possibly be paid well enough to fake an orgasm as well.
The nursing union was moved to act when a 24-year-old said that a 42-year-old disabled man
expected her to perform sex as part of his home care, which is not surprising as she'd witnessed other nurses offering to provide him with home-delivered sex. When she refused, he filed a complaint to dismiss her on the basis that she was unfit to provide care. I
assume this sentence is code for unwilling to answer a booty call for therapeutic sex.

Here again we have late night comedians taking on this Texas story gone national because the media is loath to make any negative comment upon religious beliefs. For as you can see in the video, these revelers of ignorance buy lots of Hostess products. The Texas Board of Education is made up of 15 members, 10 Republicans (7 of which are Evangelical Creationists) and 5 Democrats who are all either Hispanic or Black. The votes are most always passed 10 to 5. It's not only by party line, by religious dogma and Republican revisionism, but also very much about racism. Which the Creationist members proudly admit, though they like using the word "multiculturalism" rather than the "spics and N-words". This video is about as good as it gets in defining these nitwits as the hard core nitwits they are. Who are revising history to not just our Texas children, but children throughout much of the rest of America. THEY ARE REMOVING THOMAS JEFFERSON for christsake! And GIVING JEFFERSON DAVIS EQUAL TIME WITH ABE LINCOLN for christsake! They are in charge of education for christsake! Neither are these people a bit shy about what they are doing. They are in charge! They proudly proclaim the winners right the history! And this is a war of rapture between invisible sky creatures and the sorry likes of Thomas Jefferson and Abe Lincoln. They are going to push their slop come Hell or high water. High water... They have daily conversations with invisible sky creatures who direct their every move and thought but will not accept any evidence that things are warming up enough to bring any high water into our future. This of course is - as you can see from this video because THEY ARE MORONS. A great article from the Washington Monthly with a recent interview with Dentist and Board leader Don McElroy: Revisionaries - How a group of Texas conservatives is rewriting your kids’ textbooks.

Late night comedians again take on the Right-wing nutcake (Ron Paul) Tea Party movement because the media is pooping in their pants afraid to do it themselves. It's not only that these people buy lots of Hostess, Frito Lay products and Carbonite, but many are also NRA LIFE MEMBERS* just aching to go postal. Be sure to watch this one to the end as it closes with the Checkoslovakia kicker! These Tea Baggers make up in ignorance for what little they lack in ugliness. *NRA LIFE MEMBER - Those whose most important mission in LIFE is waving their guns around for all to see. For otherwise they would be invisible little gits. "I got a gun it aint teenie it makes up for my little weenie." ANON

Thursday, March 18. 2010
Another good stab at the ugly Tea Party movement. This is only done by late night comedians as the media sees Tea Baggers only as pickup truck, beer and car insurance buyers rather than the Right-wing paranoid extremists they are. If you have any doubt about that watch this video, Video:
Republican Tea Party mocks man with Parkinson's Disease. And please remember, the Tea Party is more about Ron Paul, Tom Trancedo and the NRA than it is airheads like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.

Stephen Colbert solves the Shamrock Shortage with some grow lights. He then starts acting a bit... Hmmm... How should we say... STONED. He plays the part well! It has always been my contention that the world would be a better place if all the intense Type-A run-abouts were required to smoke shamrocks at least twice a day.

"O'Leary, O'Reilly, O'Hare and O'Hara there's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama," and it happens to be true, not just on this day when everyone's a little bit Irish, so Happy St. Paddy's to You All !

Funny and insightful Ricky Gervais briefly shares how his fervent childhood belief helped his Mom keep him happily in line for years. I think many will identify with Gervais' mother, and her use of religion to keep children under willing control. Much larger churches have done it to thousands, after all. There is always an older brother, or someone else who causes one to
start to ponder the uncomfortable questions. Gervais made his decision within the hour of a comment from his brother.

Lawrence O'Donnell talks with Michael Moore, Academy Award-winning film maker, who is much loved as well as hated for showing the seamy side of American politics, corporations, banking, and now our desperate need for health care, a goal seeming within reach but ruined by the deep pockets of insurance companies, lobbyists, and our elected representatives who can't resist either one. The Republican resistance to bi-partisan cooperation has been the final nail in the coffin of millions of Americans if the bill passes in it's present form. Moore's most recent film " Sicko" has brought him even closer than his initial investigation, as Americans email him daily telling him their stories of how the lack of health care, or abuse from insurance companies has ruined lives, families, and caused thousands of unnecessary deaths.

Urologists brace for the March rush each year when their business in vasectomies picks up by a whopping fifty per cent! Most men are reluctant or adamant in their refusal when faced with the operation, but we've underestimated them ladies. Timing is everything, basketball fans start looking forward to the operation, and uninterrupted recuperation time; just a guy, his remote control, frozen carrots or peas, and an iced medicinal beverage of choice. Somehow, it just doesn't seem as painful for that one special week in March, when the NCAA playoffs just happen to be televised... coincidence - or clever scheme?

So what's new? Rush Limbaugh did the same to Michael J. Fox a few years back, but then as we all know, Rush Limbaugh's character doesn't quite reach Mr. Fox's instep. You can actually feel the ugliness emanating from these Republicans. The young man in the shirt and tie throwing the money in the face of this sad individual is bad enough, but the man holding the baby and laughing is disgusting. Gonna bring that kid up with good Christian American values! This reminds me of years back when there was a short lived movement for volunteerism and community service. There was a national day set aside in the City of Brotherly Love to push the idea. It was attended by not only President Clinton and the First Lady, but George H and Barbara Bush, Colin Powell and so on. The Freepers (freerepublic.com) organized a protest and descended upon the area in their white shirts and red ties much the same as these Tea Baggers chanting "communism!", "Marxists!", "Socialists!" and so on. Ugly ugly people. Good to see PALIN shirts in the background as these Republicans harass a sick man and a black man. It is the nature of the Beast.

Attorney General Eric Holder is before Congress having to defend Due Process to some Republican toadie on some panel making the party talking points ad nauseum.
It's not just about Miranda, or that lawyers who defend terrorists are no better than the terrorists themselves, or even trials hidden away at military bases under strange law. Rather it is the entire concept of Due Process, Equal Justice and Rule of Law at stake. 300 years of progress in this country making our legal system more fair and equitable no matter ones chance of birth.
But these days "progress", "equitable" and "fair" are aspects of Marxism, communism, socialism and even nazism to the GOP.
Watching Eric Holder reply to some Republican toadie with a poop in his diaper over Osama Bin Laden given a Miranda warning, I realized the flaw in our system. Sure giving Bin Laden Miranda warning wouldn't change a thing, nor as Holder pointed out, will Bin Laden ever make it that far alive. But after stating those facts, Holder should have told this trembling in his boots, scaredy cat, pants peeing Republican toadie...
"We in this country give these terrorists Due Process like anyone else because we are better than them." [then a penetrating look directly at the Republican toadie to continue] "Well some of us are better than them are anyway."
If that kind of straight talk were allowed not only in Congress but by the Media when having to suffer the endless repetition of Republican Talking Points, that whole Gingrich Revolution crap would never have happened and we wouldn't be running scared from the Republican toadies ever since. So, is toadies suppose to be capitalized?

IMPORTANT: These text books will be published for not just Texas but for many other states as well. Texas being one of the very few states that orders in total. An order for 4 million books will cause a publisher to print anything.

Pictured here is Don McLeroy, nutcake dentist from Bryan! A rabid New Earth Creationist who KNOWS his ancestors hunted dinosaurs. He was recently replaced as the Taliban leader by a less offensive Republican evangelical creationist on the board. For more on this creepy crawler read the piece in the Washington Monthly by Mariah Blake
For those following the shenanigans of the Texas Board of Education this week the discussions ended and the vote was made. The 7 Evangelical Creationists got their way in revising American History more to their liking in a 10 to 5 vote, not only party lines but RACIAL LINES, which was more at play than anything else, i.e., codeword "multiculturalism." Though the final vote will not come until May, there is no reason to believe anything will change.
The biggest news of the week was that they managed to remove Thomas Jefferson though they could not remove him from the list of Presidents. After all, he coined the phrase "SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!" Can't have that down here in the the top Christian Execution chamber of America! Jesus loves a good execution. Though he attended only that one...
So The New Deal, Mexicans, Civil Rights, Abe Lincoln, unions and the ACLU are OUT! Jefferson Davis, Phyllis Schlafly, the NRA, the Contract with American, the Heritage Foundation and of course Jesus are IN.
The best thing I have read on all this, though dated a few weeks before the final vote is by Washington Monthly writer Mariah Blake who goes to McLeroy's home for an interview. Revisionaries - How a group of Texas conservatives is rewriting your kids’ textbooks.

It goes without saying that concerns for potential people outweigh concerns for the real thing. That kind of insane crap is the basis of most religion. But you cannot say doing what invisible sky creatures tell one to do is insane. In fact it would be insane for anyone in politics or the media to even think such a thing, yet alone say such a thing. MY GOD!
In the new segment, HOLY SHIT, the Daily Show comes back after a few years to take shots at religious silliness. Stephen Colbert began the original segment in 2003 with "This Week in God" with the GOD BUTTON attached to the GOD MACHINE. When Colbert left the show Rob Corddry took over the segment with Samantha Bee filling in after he left until it ended in 2007. This being Jesusland it was deemed problematic for the show at the time and best left alone. I wonder what brought it back? Could be Texas Taliban down here in Dumbutt is getting all that national press lately for rewriting history that it may be the reason.

What with the recent activist conservative Supreme Court decision giving corporations the same rights as individuals (so they can personally help pour more money into our system of corporate bribery) Jon Stewart assumes that would mean individuals have the same rights as corporations. In perhaps the most well written and explained political lesson in Daily Show history, Jon Stewart takes the premise down the line into the silliness this crazyass Supreme Court is taking us. I was thinking that this decision means corporations as individuals then have the right to bear arms, and as they are so much bigger than I am, they can have 16" cannons, Cruise missiles, and even Christ-all-mighties [transcontinental ICBMs with multiple head hydrogen bombs] On they trucks. Right? There is a big problem with this video though...

Watching the MSNBC show Mornin' Joe Monday I saw that crazy and always wrong economic pundit Jim Cramer say that he worked through September just to pay taxes. Florida Pan Handle x-congressman Joe Scarborough responded that since moving to New York he pays 2/3 of his income in taxes. He went on to say it is the same in Connecticut, Rhode Island and so on. A few of the other regulars and guests nodded their agreement. You know what this means of course. It is STATES who are going bonkers on taxes not the federal government! States Rights to Tax yer ass to death is what they stand for hey?
We just finished doing our taxes. Adding it all up, including property, sales, state, federal, fines, tolls, licensing, and SS we payed 29% in taxes on about $100k. It has been about the same as far back as we can remember. Texas has no state tax, the average is 5%, so I will add that, 34% for all taxes.
So I must assume that New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and so on have state income taxes of over 30% to arrive at more than 2/3 of their income going to taxes. Right?
How do these Republicans come up this crap when we are the least taxes nation in the civilized world? It would seem from Republican math the rest of the civilized world has no income at all.
I think this is how they manage this very big lie of theirs. They add up the rates without deductions. But let me know if you have a better answer.
Federal taxes for Republicans $250k = 37% Sales tax = 8% State income tax = 10% (avg is 5%) Property tax 2% Social Security - Self Employed 13% (though not a tax they can call it a payroll tax)
And there it is! 70%! Work through September for THE MAN.

Canada is undoubtedly LOLROF'ing today, thanks to Sen. Jim Bunning R- Mars. Bunning as you may recall, blocked the extension on unemployment benefits, among other things, because he could. Today, he is halting the heavy duty nominations of the Assistant Treasury Secretary, Chief Agriculture Negotiator, and The Ambassador to World Trade Organization, over candy flavored cigarettes, not ours - Canada's, which happen to be banned, and I thought...none of our business.

"I don't want any other kids to go through the pain that our family has gone through." That is the message of Marcelas Owens, a fifth grader from Seattle, who is the latest target of abuse from the mouths of the right wing, including Limbaugh, Beck, Malkin, and Newsbusters
who calls him a spokesman for the liberal lobby. Owens is making a plea for health care after losing his 27-year-old mother Tiffany, who died of pulmonary hypertension. She lost treatment when she lost her job, then her health care - a familiar scenario in this country. He's been called "a human kiddy shield for the Dems" by Malkin, "a sob story" and much more, which gets much worse by Limbaugh, and of course, Glenn Beck ties it to socialism, after attacking the child's grandmother. You be the judge. Marcelas doesn't look like a political shield, he looks like an eleven year old who lost his twenty seven year old mother, through no fault of their own.

Today Dick Army is the defacto leader of the Tea Party movement. It is his FREEDOM WORKS that is behind the curtain pulling the levers. Ron Paul is more the figurehead than the Wizard in charge.
You will remember Dick Armey for being House Majority Leader in the Gingrich Revolution. When after Democrats trying to pass Health Care Reform, American voters gave us the largest gang of Right-wing nutcakes to every enter Congress in any given year. DEJA VU!
Dick Armey also is famous for naming NY congressman Barney Frank, "Barney Fag". And of course the loudest voice [with perfect voting record) against HEAD START (a little free school for indigent toddlers) every time it came up for a vote. Though one of the most well run, popular and successful social programs in history, it did benefit a certain less than white constituency in our inner cities.Dick Armey blasts Republicans on immigration, saying GOP is alienating Latino voters
Well at the National Press Club on Monday Armey went after Republican Racist Tom Trancedo, who he believes is painting an ugly picture of Hispanic loving Republicans! It's destructive! It lacks sensitivity! It is alienating! OMG!
You have to love Ole Dickass' honest homespun humor when he admits.
"The party was born with the Emancipation Proclamation and it can't get a black vote to save its life."
I wonder why that is Dick?
While on this subject, the media spin that the Tea Party movement is not politically aligned is such a gross pandering for share it makes one retch. This thing that the Tea Baggers are Everyman is a the biggest pile I seen since I took Moby Dick for a Walkee. Every Tea Party member has not in the past nor ever or will in the future, vote for a Democrat. Ever never ever never never. PERIOD! END OF STORY! ABSOLUTE TRUTH! Gosh... Liberal biased media my ass.
I should also take this opportunity to run these Ron Paul quotes by again:
"If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be."
"Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e., support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action."
"Politically sensible blacks are outnumbered as decent people... I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city [Washington] are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."
"We don’t think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That’s true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such."

Holy Health Insurance Batman! The word here is ballsy. Much like a Michael Moore movie. The tragedy and pain the Health Insurance management suffer tears ones heart apart. But with jacking up premiums 40% and putting a $50,000 a year price on insurance for those with preexisting conditions, we find Republicans are so altruistic they put the heartache of health insurance CEO's above the well being of non Republican children. It is what Jesus would do.
