Just another in the endless examples of why evangelical / fundamentalist Christians have no business telling the rest of us what to think, how to live or what to do, after all, by every definition they are clinically insane, which holds true of evangelical / fundamentalists of any sort throughout the world.
When breaking down all the intolerance, ignorance, hate, violence and ugly it seems to all come out of just three things; the Tora, the Koran and the Bible. All written for and by cultures so far removed from who and what we are today as to be more than alien. Like our constitution those books need an amendment process or perhaps a Biblical Convention to rewrite.
Of course we cannot take religion away from people, it’s what the vast majority of humanity depends upon to deal with their present misery and coming death. After all what are we going to tell the children when Grandma dies? Or why a bomb fell on Mrs Jihab and her 11 children? Allah wills it. God works in mysterious ways. You will meet up with them later in Heaven. We are a species of more gut than brain. And because science, facts, logic and reason do not enter into religious evangelicalism / fundamentalism THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS MAKING LAWS FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO ABIDE BY. In fact it was so important to our Founding Fathers, it became the first ten words of our Bill of Rights.
More gut than brain? How many people have their been who have made great advances in the way we now live? How many great inventors, scientists and the artists have there been? A few thousand? How many people have their been? 100 billion. Do the math.
