So many sheep so little time to give so many Republican celebrities their proper due we have to limit the herd to the top five; Joe the Plumber, George Zimmerman, Cliven Bundy, Josh Duggar and new Republican Kim Davis.
Though a prerequisite for Republican political heroism, somewhat short in the smart department and with varying degrees of horrid ideology and disgusting personal behavior, all five stand out above much of the herd. Though Ted Nugent who should top the list is missing here. “Degrees” of course having nothing to do with colleges.
Joe the Plumber who complained to presidential candidate Barack Obama that taxes and regulations had ruined his plumbing business only to find that he had no business, was not a plumber and his name was not Joe. His 15 minutes of Republican celebrity came only from embarrassing the black guy running for president on national TV.
George Zimmerman who got away with murder primarily because his lawyers argued shooting Trayvon Martin had nothing to do with race or racism, George was a minority himself and friend to African Americans. George Zimmerman who has had four subsequent arrests now makes his living selling confederate flags.
“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro… They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton… And I’ve often wondered are they better off as slaves.” Republican rock star Cliven Bundy who Rand Paul met with just three months ago.
Cliven Bundy the Nevada scofflaw and full blown racist who refused to pay federal grazing fees as all his fellow cattle ranchers paid brought Tea Party and NRA factions of the GOP to aim loaded assault rifles at police and federal agents. Which we found is okay for white people to do. Coming to to Cliven Bundy’s defense was Arizona US Representative Republican Paul Gosar [who had been recently elected with the help of Sarah Palin and Joe Arpaio] and made the news lately for boycotting the Pope along with fellow Catholics Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito.
Josh Duggar an anti gay marriage, abstinence and family values evangelical Christian who had two Ashley Madison accounts, committed adultery having S&M sex with prostitutes and diddled his little sisters. So much of a Republican hero that most all of the present Republican presidential candidates had their pictures taken with him.
And of course Kentucky county clerk Christian bigot Kim Davis who just yesterday shed her Democratic party past to become an official Republican. She said the GOP was more inline with her Christian intolerance and personal bigotry. Hear! Here! Yesterday at the big Family Values meeting in Washington DC the crowd came to their feet for a raucous standing ovation to the news that Speaker of the House Republican John Boehner was resigning. But a bit later Kim Davis – married four times with at least two children out of wedlock – got an even larger standing ovation from the family values crowd.
And the kicker, almost half the people in American vote for this kind of crap.
