Bill Maher Editorial, War on Christianity crap, Jun 5 2015

Bill Maher War on Christianity crapChristianity cannot be disparaged in any manner in this country by the media or politicians, which leaves Bill Maher, Brian, Cartman and me.

This War on Christianity crap is about as credible as our yearly Fox News sponsored War on Christmas. There is no war on Christianity at all, what they perceive as war is the political hypocrisy of Christians in regards to their bigotry, intolerance, violent nature, and callous disregard toward the poor, all anathema to the very essence of what and who Jesus Christ was about.

Mike Huckabe says we are rapidly moving toward the criminalization of Christianity. 78% of Americans are Christians.

Ted Cruz says there is no room for Christians in today’s Democratic Party. 80% of Democrats in congress and governors are Christians.

Bill O’Reilly says that if you are a Christian or a White man in America its open season on you. Police shooting unarmed white preachers.

Rick Santorum says Christians are being treated like the Nazis treated the Jews. Christianity is the biggest religion in the world and controls almost 80% of the wealth, military and police.

But you see, none of those lies or silly crap matter to the Republican Base as their worldview is based upon lies and silly crap. And when they hear those who are so very much smarter than they telling them what they want to hear, no matter how absurd, they wet their pants, send money and go vote.

Lots of talk of late about the fall of religion to NONES and Atheists and Agnostics which grew by  8% in the last several years. All true but what is not much reported is that the Evangelical Base, the problem, grew by 1%. The halfass believers are leaving the fold while the hardcore snake handlers are growing.

You know that most all growth in the Evangelical movement for generations has been about the meaning of the term BORN AGAIN. Which refers to those who were brought up Evangelical and left the fold, reentered the bubble when they found out that in the real world stupid people are not treated all that well no matter Jesus or not. The bubble is nice, ignorance is bliss.
