The big news from Al Gore is that the price of solar panels is coming down to a level that is more economically feasible than coal, and the more they sell the more the cost comes down.
Very soon after we moved down here to Dumbutt some 35 years ago I questioned why roof shingles are so dark which absorb the heat rather than light to reflect the heat.
That in turn got me surmising that the answer to getting rid of fossil fuels is to make each roof shingle a solar panel in itself. Three birds with one stone. Generating electricity, reflecting the heat and getting rid of the billions of shingles [could be trillions] made primarily from oil.
Or better yet, solar panel paint.
