Last night’s REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER found Bill very serious and admittedly a little drunk. As the race tightens electing a fascist as president of the united states is no longer a laughing matter. As he remings us, fascists never relinquish power, well other than getting shot or hung by the toe.
Maher correctly claims this election slow run Right-wing coup, played by not only the racist Right and the religious Right, but with Russia pushing it along. While the media is stuck in a six year old email controversy the Russians are backing a “useful idiot” as their puppet on the world stage and nary a word.
It was mentioned in an in depth NEWSWEEK article last week. NEWSWEEK! Come on man. The Washington Post and the NY Times also wrote articles on how dire this issue is of a presidential candidate in the pocket of Vladimir Putin is. NEWSPAPERS! Come on man. NEWSWEEK which literally no one reads – it’s not even a magazine any more – and big city daily city newspapers which no one under 70 reads. Come on man.
Even the big over the air network channels only do 10 minutes or less a day on politics, which that leaves only the cable networks as “THE MEDIA.” And one third of that is controlled by the RNC.
Oops I missed NPR and PBS, but again few under 70 even know what those acronyms stand for.
So with the helter skelter of social media that narrows THE MEDIA is only CNN and MSNBC who together do not meet the traffic of Fox News. And just yesterday The Donald singled out and pointed out MSNBC reporter Katy Kur prompting a supporter to scream YOU WHORE in her face.
Keep in mind the words of ALT WHITE leader and Trump campaign director Steve Bannon just the other day, “Win or lose this is just our first inning.”
