These websites reflect our effort to make history fun by filling them with graphics, videos, music and the sounds of the times.
Rather than a hodgepodge of decade wide information we approached the project year by year, each including seven categories: History, television, movies, music, sports, books, comedy and technology. Beyond the nostalgia, these sites are popular with teachers who gvie them out as links for the students to access to write reports and papers. Take a trip back in time. To the year you were born, the year you graduated or got married. Memories are made of this... |

Thank you Bill—
I’m a old white woman who never in my life thought I’d see something like Joe Wilson shouting out in a Joint Session of Congress. and the signs the Republican old white men were carrying. All the years of Bush lying directly to us and there wasn’t an outburst so crude. The ‘coarsening of our political debate’ is really frightening.
If anyone are the racists it’s the looney ass left and their socialist agenda. The right is money hungery, while that piece of crap in the white house and all his racist sheep are power hungry. YOU GO JOE WILSON, i’m righting out a check for you right now.
Obama will be impeached before his first term is up, and we will have our country back.
Wow, prove my point why doanya!
I guess its only a problem if republicans don’t want the president to address school children. But what about when H.W. Bush addressed schools in 1991?
What do you think happened?
“The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students,” said Rep. Richard Gephardt, then the Democratic majority leader in the House of Representatives.”And the president should be doing more about education than saying, ‘Lights, camera, action.’”
Patricia Schroeder, then a Democratic member of Congress from Colorado, said the speech showed “the arrogance of power,” and that the White House should not be “using precious dollars for campaigns” when “we are struggling for every silly dime we can get” for education.
Let’s see… I guess that makes them ‘left-wing nuts’ is that right? Typical political B.S….
When our guy does it… great!
When your guy does it… horrific!
FANTASTIC! BILL TELLING IT LIKE IT IS!
About time someone did!
Obama can never reason with these teaparty people, they still think there are death camps and manditory abortions FCOL, and surprisingly, they seem to think the deficit blew up over night! There’s a lot not being said about a black president. Instead they’re using words like socialist. I don’t see any willing to give up their medicare though.
