The petition has 3000 signatures, mostly online, and the University is allowing Bill Maher to make the speech
Pictured here are two of the leaders in the petition to keep Bill Maher from making the commencement speech at University of California, Berkeley. Both of whom are wearing habibs because if they didn’t they could be legally stoned to death by Sharia Law. Sharia Law, which is the basis of the Muslim theocracies throughout the Middle East. A woman’s hair should not be seen by anyone but her lord and master husband. Who they share with other wives.
This brouhaha makes strange bedfellows. There is the Religious Right in this country who fully agrees with Bill Maher that Muslims are bad all over. But moderate believers of all stripes get all upset because Bill Maher is pointing out that it is RELIGION and BELIEF that is the problem here rather than all the silly words we use to disguise that fact like sectarianism, or unemployment, or national boundaries, or Indonesia.
This whole thing is rather simple. Islam is where Christianity was 500 years ago, though not quite a bad.
