Not bad enough that the President of the United Buffoons of America believes Global Warming is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese, but so does the three appointments he made to those who matter on the issue, Scott Pruitt running EPA, Rick Perry running Energy department and Ryan Zinke at Interior.
Not even Beelzebub could have found three people more at war with the environment than these three nitwits. But it’s okay, it’s what they believe. And what people believe is what is true. If you believe your lies then they are not lies. They are… ALTERNATIVE FACTS.
What The Media fails to explain is all this alternative fact crap is based upon our recent spat of Religious Freedom bills and laws. Snakes talk. If you believe it then it is a fact. An alternate fact, but a fact none the less. The greatest example of alternative facts and fake news goes back to Abraham slitting his son’s throat to prove absolute obedience to voices in your head. A religion founded upon the worst idea anyone ever came up with. Well until Martin Luther when we decided that Heaven was gained by what we believed rather than what we did. Put the two together and you got trouble, serious trouble.
We find from Bill McKibben that environmental matters under Mad King Don are a lot worse than we anticipated, every hour they do something new to destroy the air, the land, the water and the Earth. Proudly, joyously and stupidly. Bigly.
Trump has drained the swamp of those who knew what they were doing to instead fill it with drillers, frackers and polluters on their knees sucking off the Fossil Fuel industry. RUN IT LIKE A BUSINESS. Quarterly profit margins are all that matter.
Allow me to comment on just one instance.
I have been a duck hunter since I was 10 years old. Some 20 years ago a federal law was passed that no lead shot could be used over water. Duck hunting is always over water. We hunted from boats while many others hunted in hip boots in marshes. The Mississippi River is where most of it ends up.
The point was that tons of lead were being sent to the bottom of our waterways, not only a carcinogenic fouling water supplies, but waterfowl, fish and frogs gobbling up the lead pellets and dying of lead poisoning and making them dangerous to eat. We all bitched about it at the time, steel shot was more expensive and had less impact and less range. But hunters were more aware of the environment than most others and we grew to understand. And less impact and less range made it more sporting.
The first day at his job, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke rescinded the steel shot laws. First thing on his agenda, lead poisoning for all.
The silver lining in all this? What Bill Maher asks of Bill McKibben? It is getting people involved and out there and heard over the raucous din of irredeemable deplorable know nothings who voted for this vulgar narcissist know-nothing buffoon of a President.
