Brian Williams Raps “Gin and Juice” The Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon

Brian Williams Raps Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice" The Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon NBC Nightly News managing editor and anchor Brian Williams raps Snoop Dogg’s classic “Gin and Juice” – all the words, even the ones he claims he’s never said…And as it turns out, he hasn’t.  The clean-cut, very Caucasian Brian Williams, with his sterling news career and conservative appearance, is the least likely rap star on the planet, Perhaps that is why his rap bits alone, and ‘Jammin’ the News with Jimmy Fallon’ have taken off and become wildly popular.  Williams pretends much annoyance, yet his appearances with Fallon have exposed a delightfully dry sense of humor few would suspect from his news gig.

In two other segments last night,  Williams spoke with Jimmy about the (rap) phenomenon. By now, the newscaster merits an alternative name for his alter ego. After testing such monikers as Bri Wi, Honey Bri Bri, Will i Am, Bri Curious and Brizzle – it appears the rapper formerly known as Brian Williams is now “B Dub.”  His rendition of ‘Rapper’s Delight’ deservedly boasts millions of hits and growing.

One of the things which bothers Williams is that there is an unknown (to him)  man who sits in a booth monitoring video clips of his face, which go back to the Iraq war. “Let’s be clear, I’ve never said the word ‘hippity'” In other words, there is a man who is paid to find clips which can be edited to make it appear that Williams is saying the things you hear him say in his rap videos! This might be a good lesson about viewing certain ‘news’ shows which are known for lifting and editing the words of liberal speakers.

Secondly, he is now being known for the tongue-in-cheek raps, perhaps more than for his journalism in some quarters. In other quarters, it is pretended that he is known more for the rap. Williams and Fallon sparring is well worth watching, the two have terrific chemistry.  At last Jimmy suggested…”You’ve gotta go!” Bri-Dub answered,  “Yes I do, down where I work, we call it addressing the nation – it’s too long to explain to you – which again, supports your show.” Jimmy’s show is  referred to as Jimmy’s hobby, by Brian. ” But thank you so much  for me, in ways that have changed my life, but I’ll find a way to pay you back,” added Williams, and to be sure, he will.
