Well the answer to that is what is called “civilization.” Or for the religious minded, “Christianity.”
It seems to me that every Republican issue comes back to this same thing. [Well other than matters of sex.]
The GOP is consumed with taking from the poorest and giving to the richest on the premise that it creates jobs, better pay and job security. They are the JOB CREATORS of the world. Whether the words they use are REDUCE THE DEBT CEILING, DEFICIT, SEQUESTER, NO NEW TAXES, DON’T TREAD ON ME, ENTITLEMENTS, NANNY STATE, SOCIALISM, it’s all the same. Transfer the money from the poor to the wealthy.
Of course the reality is quite the opposite. Since this “Hate the Government” thing began some 30 years ago, wages, salaries, job benefits and savings have not risen while the wealthy have had their incomes and wealth increase in double digit magnitudes in CEO income, 500 times greater than you and I. Triple digit magnitudes.
Ask any corporation what costs them the most money and what they most need to reduce to increase their profits? They make no bones about it. LABOR. Paying people to work. What they actually do is destroy jobs by moving labor off shore, buying robots, reduce wages, salaries and benefits by destroying unions, denying even a minimum wage, moving what jobs their are into low paying temporary jobs and then blaming it all on the Obamacare.
And if they don’t get to hurt as many of us as they hope, they hold there breath until they get their way, even if what they want is impossible.
