Starbucks would prefer not to be in the middle. They were first approached by one side, which includes the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and the Washington State Million Mom March. Organizers of the event hope to pressure Starbucks into adopting a no-guns policy in all its stores. On the other side is a large, organized group of gun owners who can't be parted from their guns even to wear them legally concealed, and are making sure their openly carried firearms are seen as they belly up to the bar to order a banana Frappuccino with a cinnamon bun.
Many have reported, and talked with future felon James O'Keefe of ACORN infamy; now in the spotlight for breaking into Mary Landrieus' office. Sean Hannity of Fox News may be the first dim enough to follow O'Keefe's defense strategy as if it were truth, and compare O'Keefe's illegal activities to legitimate journalism, exactly like the reporters on NBC's Dateline. Like the investigative reporters, but for one rather major detail, which seems to elude our boy Hannity. I doubt it will elude the judge!
Scott Roeder who happily put a bullet between the eyes of Dr. Tiller while he was in church on Sunday took the stand to first gloat over his crime and then try and sway the Kansas jury to call it manslaughter. The middle American Kansas jury deliberated 37 minutes before returning to the courtroom with a guilty plea. The 51 year old Roeder is expected to receive a between 25 and 50 year sentence with no parole. Scott Roeder found Guilty
Imagine, 15,000 square feet of warehouse store that's a one stop shopping center for everything you need to grow cannabis. No prescription, no problem, doctors are on site! Alice B Toklas will be able to grow her special brownie ingredient, if this entrepreneur has his way. Feds have recently come down on pot buyers clubs, it will be interesting to see how long the pot growers clubs can stay below their radar with wide-spread publicity.
Judge Warren Wilbert told the jury in Sedgwick County that they could not consider accepting lesser charges from murdering Taliban slug Scott Roeder. Judge Wilbert ruled that as there were no potential babies in danger in the back of the church, and that Scott Roeder had already admitted to planning on how to accomplish his task the day before - finally settling upon walking up to Dr. Tilson at church and plugging him between the eyes - that neither the manslaughter or 2nd degree charged were acceptable under Kansas law. Republican Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito who with the four other Republicans on the Supreme Court gave corporations (who have no public interest other than profit) more power than the people to decide our elections - shook his head NO and mouthed NOT TRUE to the President in his State of the Union speech. John Oliver Corporation Loves Alito decision
Update: Neither Antonin "Benito" Scalia or "Uncle" Clarence Thomas made faces or called the President a liar. But then again they both refused to show up. Just seeing the President makes them want to hand over the government to AMWAY.
The best line in this video clip is the ending. The same line I shouted not a few times - to no one listening - 10 years ago during the Republican Impeachment of Bill Clinton.
"Geraldo Rivera is now the voice of reason in America!"
The well deserved and long over due slam on Nancy Grace is not only about the media deciding who is guilty or innocent, but that she has no peer in causing Americans to buy truck loads of guns and ammo, helping to jack up punishments, build more prisons, offer less parole and probation, put more people into death chambers and increase the sales of adult diapers for her audience to shit their pants in fear of everyone everywhere.
Also a slam on the general media for this same process of making Law & Order entertainment rather than the serious business it is.
I am certainly no smarter than anyone else outside Texas, but when I saw the water disappearing from that beach before the Indian Ocean Tsunami I knew what was coming BACK. Same thing when I saw that silver balloon blowing across the prairie. It was just a larg Mylar Valentines Day Balloon which in no possible way could it carry a 50 pound kid. Come on, we need a bit of critical thought rather than just blind acceptance of what these people are saying. Because remember, everything they do and say is to sell Twinkies, Trucks and lots and lots of beer for your brain.
The Rudy Giuliani clips here say much about Republican politics of the day. The hypocrisy of the GOP that no matter what Obama - or any Democrat does - it is going to be wrong and evil no matter they would do the same thing.
Bringing Muslim Hijackers to NY justice was just fine with Rudy 3 years ago, what changed? The Republicans got tossed out of Washington to be replaced by not only a bunch of Socialists who want everyone to have affordable health care, but their inarticulate white good ole boy was replaced by an uppity multi-cultural Constitutional Law professor! Republicans do not like smart people, like the song goes; Smart people, smart people, Smart people got no business to live.
First we have the biting satire from Stephen Colbert on this, the worst Supreme Court decision since Dred Scott. It makes the political decision of Bush V Gore look like non partisan child's play.
CNN legal scholar Jeffery Tobin adda a bit of gravitas to this election changing game.
Looking into this a big further a few things struck me. First of all how purely political it is. The five conservative Republicans on the court are in lock step to bring this up and override 100 years of precedent and knowingly - with malice a forethought - further hand over our election process to those who have not only the most money, but who are driven only by profit rather than any issue of common good.
No limits on money handed to politicians or the media so Exxon/Mobile can foul the planet. No limits on Cigna/WellPoint to create even more death cubicles sending grandma to rescission Hell. No limits on Rush Limbaugh EIB network spending his 240 million a year on a media blitz to put his music video of Barack The Magic Negro across the networks 24/7.
Antonin "Benito" Scalia was of course the most dishonest of the gang by centering his questions around the silly business that if not acted upon it would deny free political speech to the mom and pop owners of your local Quickee Mart. I mean really. Yeah that's what this is about? No, this is about this last election where the wealthy Right lost to a... a... Uppity... A uppity... A uppity liberal... Hmmm...
[After hearing President Jimmy Carter last night say that a very substantial part of this anger at President Obama is racism, and Mornin' Joe Scarborough declare that is just not true, I guess I must defer to the one time Congressman from the most radical racist right-wing doctor shooting area of America, the Florida Panhandle.]
This Supreme Court decision is perfectly tuned to the base ideology of these kind of people who not only believe that corporations with the most money should have the most speech - so much speech it displaces the speech of actual people - but also who strongly believe that those with the most money should receive the best health care and the best justice - as this case so well suggests.
I do well at coming up with new ways of becoming unpopular! Dangerously so by arguing against guns. But also going against the general flow of Americana in decrying capital punishment, corporeal punishment, silly religious crap, revenge and saying most recently saying some very well deserved bad things about Quentin Tarantino. This all of course makes me unpatriotic, unAmerican and the most dreaded of all persuasions, a pacifist. OH MY GOD! So let me add another unAmericanism to the growing list to piss just about everyone off!
Scotland, working under British law released the Lockerbie Pan Am terrorist back to his family in Libya the other day. Big news here in America as we watched cable news networks give us the entire live feed of the van going to the airport aka OJ Simpson.
There are three issues at work in this.
First is that European secular concept of compassion which our American Christian culture has not a clue to. A team of doctors have said the man has advanced prostrate cancer with less than 3 months to live. They sent him home to die with his family. Oh the HORROR! I say let everyone in the world who has only 3 months to live go home to die with their family.
Secondly is that Europe and most of the rest of the world see terrorism as a horrible crime and treat it as such RATHER THAN a cause to change constitutions, legal systems, prisons and initiate preemptive wars and torture! TORTURE! Gosh... I know I know, THEY are lined up to blow up our malls and kill our children! Oh and destroy democracy and freedom on our shores! No, we did that, which was exactly what they intended us to do. Gosh, The United States of Duh.
But it is the third issue that has been festering in my Jite World View for so long that its time to admit to it.
When we allow victim's families into our legal system it destroys our system of blind justice. It adds not only emotions into what is ideally the cold hard rule of law, but it also confuses justice with vengeance.
Our amber alerts, our probation and parole systems and above all that Sex Offender DVD have been hijacked by angry revenge seeking victim families. Those who have paid their price and those who have done little wrong are put on the same list as murdering rapists. These angry families see to it that there are no second chances, that there is no hope for jobs or even a place to live for those who have paid their price to society. Often a sentence of life under a bridge or having their homes burned down by American Mobs.
It is victim families who go to parole boards to keep those who paid their dues to keep them forever behind bars. This vengeance is not only devoid of mercy, compassion, and Christian theology but fouls our legal system with emotions rather than the Rule of Law.
Sure this is all AMERICAN, but just because something is American doesn't automatically make it right. Holy Shit did I say that? Gosh...
Down here in Dumbutt we execute a few poor souls most every week. The news most always begins with a lengthy emotional report on the terrible crime followed by quotes of victim family members commenting on how much they needed, wanted or enjoyed the execution.
Sorry! That is not news. That is humanity just being less than it can be. The news regarding these executions comes rarely when a victim family member stands up against the execution and for Jesus Christ by refusing to extend the circle of vengeance to yet another family of victims. BTW, those outside the unit promoting executions wear Jesus on their sleeve. HOW DISGUSTING. Gosh...
As to guns. I have to also say the unpopular thing. What kind of a society to we live in when we are so afraid we have to have take a gun to bed, in glove box and tucked in our pants or purse? It is a sure sign that something is very very wrong with America.
Not enough SOCIALISM is my guess!
Our American Safety Net is a lose weave intended to catch only elephants...
We learn that as far as the Federal Government and the State of Virgina are concerned there is no difference between birth control pills and heroin! Wow! Zero Tolerance! Cool! War on Drugs! Super cool!
It is not yet known if the now infamous shoplifting dog of Murry, Utah is a pro or an amateur. Now a few days after the fact without an arrest, it seems the dog was a pro. After all, it was caught on video and he has so far eluded arrest.
With more and more of these stories sure to be coming at us things get worse, my hopes are up that a new generation of readers will pick up one of the greatest books in classical literature, Victor Hugo's Les Miserables.
The story of Jean Val Jean who suffering the poverty before the French Revolution steals a loaf of bread to feed his hungry child, is caught at the scene and promptly sentenced to 20 years rowing in the bowels of French Warship.
After his release, poor paperwork causes him to be hounded for another 20 years through the French countryside and the sewers of Paris during the Revolution by the unrelenting Inspector Jarvet who is dead set on sending him back to prison, the rule of law. Warning Spoiler [The chances of anyone under 50 reading this book, or any such book for that matter, are about nil]
Victor Hugo ends his 2000 page epic chase with the two men finally confronting each other on a bridge over the Seine River in Paris. Val Jean's life is recounted as a long series of good deeds while Jarvet recounts his life of living the mindless authority of the letter of the law. Val Jean walks into the sunset a free and content man while Jarvet realizes his life was wasted and jumps to his death.
Who hasn't been tempted to shoot a balky mower? Keith Waldenowsky of Milwaukee had a bit - okay more than a bit to drink before finding that the mower wouldn't start Wednesday morning and shooting it. He told police quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want." It turns out that euthanasia of one's lawn mower is not just between the owner and the machine. Charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed may lead to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted. Man shoots own lawn mower may get prison. Joe Horn shot MAN in back, goes free?
It looks as though if you live in Texas like Joe Horn, you can shoot people in the back and walk - if they are a minority, and not only avoid prison but be lauded by some racist residents. In Milwaukee, you may well do time for shooting an inanimate object. Just proves we are ruled by robot overlords. Houston Chronicle Editorial on Texas Vigilante Joe Horn
As expected it was a 5 to 4 ruling from the Right to get more guns to more people everywhere AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! As everyone knows, the problem here in America is we just don't have enough guns to go around.
On the surface it would seem the conservative leaning Supreme Court would side with Washington DC (as a state) to do as they please, which is what being a conservative is most about; states rights today, states rights tomorrow and states rights forever! (that has a familiar ring I just can't seem to place). But much like the Supreme Court conservatives who in 2000 gave us 8 years of a creepy stupid asshole for president, this too is a very political decision, an example of the conservative court going activist.
This is far reaching, it means cities and states no longer have the constitutional right to control handguns and also states that gun ownership is now an individual right. This means all present gun controls will be contested by the NRA, the Militias, the racist and anti-immigration groups and of course the Bloods and the Cripps. Â
Taking this decision to the international level, this court would have to decide that it is only fair to allow North Korea and Iran to join the nuclear weapon club. Doen't everyone have the right to defend themselves in an equal manner? It's also great to know that places such as Canada, England, Europe, Austrailia and Japan are now no longer considered free nations.Â
So stock up, the small arms race has begun!
Good deals can be had in this economic downturn. Prices are down across the board. The best weapon for the toddler through 12 year old group is the rather short barreled semi automatic .22 long (cartidge)Â rifle that is available at Walmart for under $100. May soon be available also at gas stations and McDonalds.
Moving up the price scale the easily hidden and handy machine pistols like the Mach 10 and UZI are good for taking along on walks or rides on the bus or in the car. Also good for bars.
The 9 mm automatic pistols are pricey but most popular. Always a good weapon to flash around to show friends and enemies alike you are doing well.
But of course the weapon of choice is the AK47 also known as the Kalashnikov. If you are a male who wants both respect and firepower this is the weapon of choice for every terrorist and crime lord in the world. These weapons usually come with a free turban or a pair of wraparound mirrored sunglasses. Visit Our NRA Gun Page
Justice Anthony Kennedy once again stopped the Right-wing from going off the fascist deep end. In this case Kennedy stopped the creation of the world's largest and busiest execution chamber, the United States.
The issue of course was not child rapists but whether the constitution allows execution of ANY non capital offense other than homicide (spies and traitors not with standing). Kennedy's decision reads well to the intellectual reality rather than the emotional violence we feel in regards to children being raped.
The four dissenters need not be named, if you follow these things you know who they are. Whenever it comes to killing more people or peeking in your windows it's always the more Christian Justices with blood on their chins tape recorders in their pants. Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts. Here is what the Four Horseman of The Violently Christian wanted to accomplish:
1. Open up the door to executions to states for any reason.
2. Re sentence thousands of present child rapists moving many to various death rows.
3. Give child rapists a great deal more incentive to kill their victims.
4. Increase executions so the United States beats out even Iran and China! Whoop de Do! Always striving to be first is what America is about.
5. And of course increasing executions is what Jesus Would Do.
Update:
Have to add Senator Barack Obama to the many other persons and groups who are Christ Bent upon expanding executions in America: Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, John Roberts, The Aryan Nations, Dr James Dobson, The Stormfront, The Baptist Southern Convention, Bill Bennett, The Ku Klux Klan, the state of Texas, Rush Limbaugh, the National Association for the Advancement of White People, George W. Bush, the Neocons, Sean Hannity, the National Alliance, Michael Savage and of course Dick Cheney who wants to apply the death penalty personally to whoever comes within range.
Addition:
I forgot to add to the list the vast majority of American voters who want to expand executions in the United States. After all it was only yesterday that the Pew Research Center told us how singularly religious and Christian we all are. Expanding executions only proves the point. Which means George Carlin was right, "religion is bullshit!."
The day after a jury sentenced cop killer Juan Quintero to Life without Parole, the fine Christian people here in Dumbutt are angry, bloodlust angry.
One of the jurors, Cindy Bradford, who voted for execution (obviously a Christian) went to the press to say that the 10 to 2 decision to not execute this Hispanic illegal immigrant was because everyone was tired and wanted to go home. Gary Blankenship president of the Houston Police Officers Union said he would lobby the state legislature to rewrite sentencing laws to add Life Without Parole and Isolation. Studies find that most inmates go insane after 6 months of isolation. Which of course is the point of the new law.
Talk shows and letters to the editor seem to have all been shouted or penned in large red ALL CAP fonts. This is the stuff of revolution here in Texas...
The Great Wall of Texas is proceeding, as are gun sales and carry permits, executions, giving children back to child sexual abusers and what seems an endless stream of patriotic funerals of young men coming home from the other side of the world.
All of course pointing to Texas being a Christian State in Christian nation not one of whom as a clue in Hell as to what Christianity means.
Here is an example of a Christian. Two robbers entered a convenience store in Houston, one pointed a gun into the clerks face while the other held a knife to his chest, took the money and ran. Ash Hussein the 22 year old clerk grabbed a gun and followed them outside, he shot at the car 4 times to stop them but killed one. "This is a day I'll never forget, I wish it hadn't happened, but it did. Someone died over this, that just makes me feel uneasy." Sayed "Ash" Hussein said who by name and remorse is far more Christian than anyone else in Texas. Store clerk fatally shoots robbery suspect in N. Houston
In Fort Hood, Texas, Richard Torres (back from a tour in Iraq) put his AR-15 assault rifle, his .45 automatic pistol and 171 rounds of ammo into his car to drive to California to either see or shoot his mother on Mother's Day. Or perhaps just shoot some people on the way...
"WARNING ILLEGAL TO CARRY FIREARMS/AMMUNITION INTO MEXICO. PENALTY — PRISON."
Torres got lost in El Paso and found himself crossing the Rio Grande into Mexico where he was immediately arrested for weapon trafficking. Presently it is hard for the Mexican government to accept it is just a mistake with all the assassinations of politicians and police going on at present with just these kinds of weapons. And of course the good money in selling them in Mexico.
Richard is in a lot of trouble because he enjoyed carrying an assault rifle around with him. Or a gun of any kind for that matter. If he had found some hobby other than mindless gonad expanding shooting the crap out of stuff, he would be in Sunny California with his Mom having a swell time.
Three last things I would like to say to any BJ Impeachment conservatives who want to defend this man....
In Fort Worth, Texas [you know this just has to be a Texas story] Darrell Robertson found his wife in a pickup truck [you know it had to be a pickup truck] in the arms of another man. His wife Tracy Robertson noticing that her husband was witnessing her moment of passion screamed "rape!". Darrell got his gun and that was the end of Mr. LaSalle.
Or course a Texas jury [like any Texas jury] refused to indict Robertson because he had a Shoot Whoever You Want Card. This is the invisibile but very real card that states Texans can shoot whoever they please if they step onto their property, The Texas Castle Law. With the Joe Horn case pending without a long overdue indictment, it would seem that the Castle Law has been extended to our neighbor's property. The card also allows Texans to shoot people hugging their wives, as in this case in which the state decided to indict his wife for her dishonest shout. She was
sentenced today to 5 years and can get out on probation in 2 years.
To make this Texas story even sweeter is this quote by husband Darrell Robertson to the press.
"When
I heard my wife sream and saw LaSalle trying to drive off from the
scene, I had no choice but to do what I did, If I had to do it over,
I'd do it again."
There were 96 arrests, 75 of which were students and fraternity members at San Diego State University. Authorities found two kilograms of cocaine along with 350 Ecstasy
pills, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, hash oil, methamphetamine,
illicit prescription drugs, several guns and at least $60,000 in cash.
All students on campus have been evicted and those off campus have been suspended. The crack down was because of two cocaine deaths at the college over the past year.
First let's just consider extending the crack down at this one school to what police do in African American neighborhoods. This is just one on campus cabal, there are likely dozens more. With each supplying many hundreds of students who support their use by selling down the line, trafficking, felony, hard time.
Next let's extrapolate that to all 5000 colleges in America. Are you with me here? Because as I write I am not clear exactly where this is going.
For the police it sure would be a cakewalk going from fraternity house, to sorority house, to dorm to off campus housing all in a small area filled with mostly unarmed street-dumb kids. And for the police, searching college girls is like living a Girls Gone Wild video.
Think of what a boon it would be to trial lawyers! Expensive trial lawyers all the parents would hire. But even with that and our draconian drug laws we would have 100,000s of white college students going to school at Attica, Folsom and what have you, joining the 2 million predominantly black and Hispanics in our prison system now. What would that do? Would it just be fodder for the old hats to have new people to beat and rape? Or would this leveling out and proximity to the more educated class create more desire and motivation upon those already there to grab hold of the American Dream. I also wonder if like dorms these days, would prisons go coed?
This could be something that needs doing! It's easy pickings for the police with far less danger than going down to the 4th ward, it would generate revenues with perhaps millions of new arrests and fines, create more middle class jobs for those not in jail, and reduce the recidivism rate as today's prisoners then reach for that American Dream. Let's get started! First off, Harvard and Yale. Best practice the process at a few smaller private colleges before tackling UCLA where the logistics would require many thousands of buses and heaven only knows how many new orange jumpsuits. San Diego State University Bust
"I haven't had that in years, Ninety-three is kind of old." Frank Milio explained that he was only flirting.
Manatee County Prosecuters have gone ahead with indicting 93 year old Frank Milio for soliciting sex from a police officer pretending to be a prostitute. After the buxom woman gave Milos the eye, which he had not experienced in close to 50 years, he began flirting and offered her $20. About $3980 less than the going rate in New York, a sweat deal for a wrinkly old man with the prospect of sex with a beautiful young woman. Brings to mind the old adage that if something seems too good to be true it is.
If Milio for some reason will not, or cannot offset his Social Security check to pay the few hundred dollar fine, he could get 6 months in the pokey which could very well be a life sentence for trying to get laid with a $20 bill.
"All I was going to do was talk, it wasn't for sex. I am 93, you know." Carlos Underhill
John number two, Carlos Underhill will not be charged even though he had a prior fine of $150 for the same thing in 1990 when he was just a kid of 75. The rate went up for Carlos to a hefty $30, so he had to put his high speed tennis balls on the front of his walker and dash back to the nursing home to get his portable nebulizer and that extra $10 at the bottom of his hard candy bowl. Prosecutors have let Carlos off because they left the sting and do not know if he ever came back with the money. But they would like to prosecute if they could.
This is that same crazyass Rule of Law crap that in 1998 put a BJ on the front page of every newspaper, magazine and TV news program in the world for a year. The UBA, United Buffoons of America...
On the bright side of this story, I would guess both Frank and Carlos are in high demand with the ladies back at nursing home.
Far from the Good Ole Boy town of Pasadena, Texas, John H. White (a 54 year old Black man) was found guilty this week of second-degree manslaughter and is now facing 5 to 15 years in prison for killing Daniel Cicciaro, 17, in an upscale neighborhood of Suffolk County, New York.
At about 11pm on Aug. 9, 2006 Mr. White was woken by his son Aaron, 19 who told him “some kids are coming here to kill me.” White went to his garage and got a handgun to confront a gang of White kids on his front lawn who he perceived as a lynch mob. As they threatened the Whites' with filthy racial epitaphs, the father confronted them with the hand gun outside his front door telling them to leave. Daniel Cicciaro charged Mr. White grabbing for the gun which discharged and killed him. White claims it went off accidentally and called 911.
During the trial Blacks sat on one side with members from the Nation of Islam while whites sat on the other side with "burly men with shaved heads and biker clothing" [that is New York Times PC language for "racists".]
The original confrontation was racist, the courtroom was racially divided, the public outcry was racial but no matter to Gregg Sarra (Daniel’s very white godfather) who had the very white balls to say:
“This situation was never about race, and we hope this verdict finally dispels the notion that any racism was involved, the defense wanted to play the race card, and there was nothing there and the jury saw through that.”
Everything about this is racial as it is down here in Pasadena, Texas. Late at night, Mr. White (a black man) confronted a gang of angry drunk men advancing upon him at his front door and ended up shooting one of them in the face, perhaps accidentally, who made contact with him.
Here in Pasadena Joe Horn (a white man) on a sunny afternoon shot two unarmed black men in the back (no accident) who posed no threat to him and were running away across his property. One man is going to jail and the other is sure to walk free. And you know, anyone who can say that these cases are not about race are themselves racists. ADAF.
"Don't worry about my name, What you better do, you better indict Joe Horn. If you don't, somebody
is going to kill him, and if he goes to prison, he's going to be killed
on the inside. They are waiting on him in prison, and we're waiting on him on the outside." Death threat to Joe Horn received by the Harris County District Attorney's Public Integrity Division.
So what has Joe Horn gained from our racist Texas Libertarian NRA gunoonery which caused him to shoot and kill a couple unarmed black men in the back?
Undue stress caused him to leave his home to whereabouts unknown.
He has turned his quiet neighborhood into a circus of angry Bikers, racists, Black activists and the media attention.
He will probably never be able to return to his home.
He has gained hero status with the dregs of American humanity.
His retirement money is now going to lawyers rather than ammo.
He will probably be indicted for homicide of one sort or another.
His photo is all over the world depicting a fat little old racist back shooter.
His entire life has gone to Hell in a Hand basket.
And now another dreg of humanity threatens to keep the circle of vengeance going.
Gosh, being a gunloon sure makes life better for everyone doanyaknow.
In the past few weeks most everyday we see gunloons all over the place shooting and killing and being killed or shooting themselves. And no one can bring up the gun issue because of the ominous dark power of the NRA in an election year. The answer is obvious. Those Chinese SKS assault rifles are dirt cheap! About a smuch as a full tank of gas. Buy three! One for the car, one for the yard and one for the kid's room. But I must say that having young people in the house here and watching how the react to things, there should be a carry age limit of at least 6 years old. Happy shooting!
Law enforcement in Kansas City is discovering what many have known through the ages, the simple fact that many people will go to great and often dangerous lengths to get high, while some utilize drugs to access another dimension , for example, Timothy Leary and his LSD experiments. Still others like Shaman still use various hallucinogenic plants in religious and healing rituals. It’s safe to say drugs in one form or another are here to stay, whether authorized by the government or not.
When police investigated a northern Kansas City home to investigate a suspected meth lab, they arrested a 21 year old, charging him with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one of possessing drug paraphernalia – in this instance, the the toad. To be accurate, you need a Sonoran Desert toad often found near the Colorado River. You cannot lick any ol’ toad!
Clay County Prosecutor Daniel White said possessing the toad is not illegal, but using it to get high from the venom is. Licking the venom used to be the more common method of obtaining the venom, it is being replaced by smoking it. Either method requires a startled or scared toad.
There are sites which show videos online describing how to extract the venom and dry it for smoking, so do not, under any circumstances….light up an unsuspecting toad as if it were a large pop eyed cigar! The Toad Bush AP 12/3/07
As we cruise into yet another year of the failed drug war, let us examine what people who enjoy getting high, are driven to when their drug of choice isn’t available. Let me qualify that statement, what SOME people are driven to instead of their drug of choice. For the views of professional lawmen and women who worked in the War on Drugs, and their feelings about it now, please see LEAP and find out why they know it is a waste of money and man-power!
Claims that this is not about race is the biggest pile I've seen since I took Moby Dick for a Walkie.
Watching the two sides in this one can't help put notice the two genetic factors at play. One could be referred to as the "negroid gene" which gives people a dark skin color. On the other side there is the "scumbag gene" which makes people ugly in not only body and spirit - but as one can see - in serious need of dentistry and dieting as well.
If you have never had the pleasure of experiencing the visual effects of a Libertarian Party convention or a Ron Paul rally as I have, what you see on that street in that video is pretty what they look like.
The law at play here is fairly new. It is referred to as the "Castle Law". It extends Texas Gungoonery beyond one's property line so that if unarmed Black or Brown people who you decide may be up to no good come too close, you can literally blow their heads off with a 12 gauge shotgun at the fair - Joe Horn - range of 15 feet. You ever shot anything with a 12 gauge at 15 feet? Talk about fun!
Local police, courts and grand juries don't give a hoot in Hell if you act as police, judge, jury and executioner. It saves everyone tax money which is the be-all and end-all of American life. And besides, it's quite a bit faster and more enjoyable than the old process of lynching.
So if you don't like Blacks or Hispanics come on down to Texas! Rent a house or buy a little home and if you can lure some people less white than you on or near your property, you can not only kill them but enjoy a subsequent biker parade!
