It got me wondering what the answer to that kindly question is. I found it to be easy and obvious which we all know but do not talk about here in America.

The hands are between religion and the secular reason demands half the show.

When the hands are between religion and religion, reason is replaced by dogma where violence becomes the most satisfying option.

Not talked about by the main stream media who must pander for share or every elected official past or present in this Nation. 

Much like the insistence of Republicans that Major Hasan at Ft Hood is a "terrorist". No, it was religion who killed the beast... And the animosity between the BOOK religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism - is alot higher and more violent than in the less believable and false religions.

This is a very well done kick in the pants to the KIND OF PEOPLE who would deny gay partners such basic human rights as hospital visitation, submitting obits, controlling a funeral, burial etc.

Do the right thing - It’s time to disavow the politics of discrimination and bigotry
HOUSTON CHRONICLE - Nov. 14, 2009,

A band of socially conservative activists and ministers has injected intolerance into Houston's mayoral election. As reported Saturday by the Chronicle's Bradley Olson, the group plans to discourage voters from supporting City Controller Annise Parker in the Dec. 12 runoff because she is a lesbian, and because they're worried about a “gay takeover” of City Hall.

Dave Welch, executive director of the Houston Area Pastor Council, told Olson, “The bottom line is that we didn't pick the battle, she did when she made her agenda and sexual preference a central part of her campaign.”

That's a lie.

While Parker has never made a secret of her sexuality, the campaign debate and agenda to date have been wholly defined by the issues facing the city and the comparative qualifications and experience of the candidates.

Parker's opponent, former City Attorney Gene Locke, has stated that he favors overturning a city charter amendment that bars Houston from extending benefits to the domestic partners of city employees, a bolder stance than that taken by Parker.

But Locke has also been courting the support of Dr. Steven Hotze, a conservative power broker and apparently one of the prime movers behind the effort to smear Parker. Hotze was the man behind the 1985 Straight Slate, a roster of City Council candidates he recruited to run on an anti-gay platform. (They all lost.)

According to a Hotze mouthpiece, he's thinking about stirring up his distasteful stew with a mailing inspired by Parker's sexuality.

Houston deserves better. Our city has a well-earned reputation for tolerance and openness. We don't need inflammatory appeals to folks' worst instincts.

We've been here before. In 1997 a small-minded ballot initiative would have ended the city's affirmative action program that helped minority and women contractors. Mayor Bob Lanier went on the air in an ad that bluntly stated his opposition to a proposal that would “turn back the clock to the days when guys who look like me got all the city's business.”

Lanier couldn't have been more clear: Discrimination is just not right.

It was a powerful moment of leadership. The referendum went down to defeat, and news outlets around the country marveled that a “wealthy white developer” had taken the lead on affirmative action.

It's time for another such moment of leadership.

Saturday afternoon, Gene Locke issued a statement rejecting “the style of campaigning that was the subject of an article in the Houston Chronicle.” He urged the people of Houston to choose a new mayor based on the issues and avoid being “swayed by divisive rhetoric.”

The rhetoric of people like Steven Hotze and Dave Welch carries a high cost. Their support should not be purchased at the price of bigotry.

The Phelps family, or the Westboro Baptist church as they like to be called, has expanded their hatred of gays to include President Obama,Jews, and frankly.. everyone! Recent experiences show that while they've had the upper hand, by terrorizing families of gay soldiers in their most vulnerable time, Drag queens and other protestors who are more frequently attending their demonstrations actually frighten them!



Okay, so who wants to be the first to tell Fred and Shirley Phelps that Jesus was Jewish? While I hesitated to post this vile video produced by the despicable group themselves, it speaks much more quickly than I could in giving you a full picture of what the little incestuous family from Topeka, Kansas does, and has been doing for far too long. They first came to be widely known after lauding the unspeakable hate crime of gay teen, Matthew Sheppard.

There is a bright side, however. Father Fred, daughter Shirley, and the clan...many of whom are young children and babies who should be removed from this cult, have finally branched out too far in their most hated lists! Their focus is not only on Gays, but includes everyone else, so much so that they can - and do, stand at street corners shouting "God hates you" without knowing a thing about the occupant, other than that they're not part of the family! Gays, Muslims, Catholics, President Obama, sinners - (a nebulous concept at best), and now Jews, who have brought them to more wide-spread attention recently. So brazen are they that they protested in front of the Holocaust Museum as well as schools and synagogues with their Hitler-like hate hyperbole!

I promised a bright side. Media attention has brought out counter protestors. We've discovered that like any school yard bully, they're brave and loud when harassing a fallen soldier's grieving family, but quickly leave a trail of dust behind when faced with a crowd of people protesting them! Perhaps two of the most amusing videos involve the pink Winnebago full of gay men that Michael Moore drove to meet the Phelps family flea circus in Topeka. The friendly young men, and the sing-along seemed to quiet the elder Phelps and caused him to remember he had other things to do. The same was the case in Seattle this summer when gays and drag queens welcomed the family. More and more college campus invasions by the Phelps clan are met by students and people from the community, rather than leaving them to scream their mantras of hate. Instead, we're treated to the vision of them turning tail and leaving town much sooner than planned! Protestors are disappointed that the Phelps clan leaves instantly, giving them no "face time" when word hits them that there will be a counter-protest! People of good intention and a desire for justice are accomplishing a small but vital victory, where our laws had been ineffectual.

In closing, please forgive my posting this assault on all people of good conscience, but if it brings attention to even one who was unaware of them, it will have been worthwhile. If it is rumored that Westboro is due to be near you, please remember they hate most of all, peace, justice, love, a sense of humor, music, tolerance , and a large mirror held up to face them...now put on your glad rags and plan to make a short day of it! So often we read about local Republican bigots who use Christianity to ply their hateful intolerance and bigotry without seeing them. It is important we get to know them so we can pray with them if we meet them on the street. Here are Houston's three top Republican Christian bigots.

SNITWIT Dan Patrick who was our local White-wing talk radio show host for many years (he also owned the All Right All the Time station he broadcasat from) before he moved to the Texas State Legislature.

DOCTOR Steven Hotze who has been the money and power promoting intolerance and bigotry throughout Houston now for most of half a century.

PASTOR Dave Welch who speaks for the Houston Area Pastor Council.

The candidate opposing Parker in the runoff is Gene Locke. Locke had kept these pricks at arm length for most of the campaign but now coming into the stretch he has crawled over to them and stuck his head up their rancorous butts.

Of course Annise Parker being gay is a horrible horrible thing for THESE KIND OF PEOPLE, but the real issue at play is that with the help of a few other gay city council members - Parker may try to overturn the law these bigoted assholes worked so hard to pass back in 2001 - denying the partners of gay men and women the same rights they enjoy. That would be the REPUBLICAN part of this.

The CHRISTIAN part of it is to make absolutely sure no gay person is allowed to visit their sick or dying partner in a hospital! Let's call that KIND OF RELIGION exactly what it is - a shit religion.

I can understand Republican's callous, selfish disregard for others, it's their pride in it that passes me by.

This is a 2 year old Rob Riggle video from the Daily Show. Katy, Texas is a Western suburb of Houston where good White Christian Texans know how to keep those less than Christian from moving in. As you can see from the video, the ignorance and bigotry is done all in good fun.

The reason I put this up again is I have been asked what's with this THAT KIND OF PEOPLE thing I have been over using lately.

Well this is the best example I can find of it. This kind of Beckian Tea Bagging White-wing bigotry, hatred and ignorance is of course expected down here in Texas, but the joy, the pride and the celebration they take in it defines them as THOSE KIND OF PEOPLE.

Bigotry is not only OUR RIGHT and our loud response to the slightest accusation of Political Correctness, but is what gives us our Christian World View, expresses our Southern Hospitality and makes us loved by God but the rest of the world.

Larry "Hit them with a feather pillow" King gave Carrie Prejean a forum in which to voice her harassment and unfair treatment by media and pageant officials, which she has stated stems from her Christian beliefs. In an asinine performance, Prejean refused to discuss harassment. King didn't have an opportunity to question her about the disclosure of new nude tapes and photos, and expressed no desire to go there. Prejean demonstrated that even on the rare times when she does show up for an engagement, it doesn't mean she will speak, by pulling her microphone off in a wee tantrum early in the interview, leaving Larry adrift with no tap dance routine, or barbershop quartet planned.



While Carrie Prejean bemoans the delusion that pageant officials stripped her of her only clothing, a tiara and ribbon with Miss California printed on it - in an attempt to stifle her free speech and Christian values, she does more harm to her own case, and demonstrates that their accusations are correct. In a continued "They said, She said" battle, They say: That Carrie Prejean didn't make the few minor public appearances required of her, and pulled her majesty's crown because of her unreliability. She says: There is a great left wing conspiracy out to get her for her statements regarding people of "other" sexual proclivities, a view she defends as a nude, Christian, video actress, specializing in erotic solo boyfriend entertainment.

Larry King, who has a soft spot for little girls, gave Prejean the ultimate opportunity to voice her complaints, only to have his show turned into a shambles. This week alone, she blew off The American Capitol Hill Club and Defenders of the Family Awards. For the real Carrie Prejean, you must see this video! Never before have I seen someone who has so much to defend, react to the most innocuous questions with the same repeated snark. "Larry, you're being inappropriate, you really are!" What a beauty queen, while complaining that the media stifles her freedom of expression, she disconnected her own microphone with a caller online waiting to talk with her, leaving no doubt that the pageant people were probably showing us the sunnier side of their dispute with the always absent Prejean. We're bound to see much more of her sunnier side as her ex-boyfriend announced that he has more videos of his twenty,not seventeen-year old girlfriend. I must say I was surprised by the quick conviction of this child raping dirtball down here especially dumbutt West Texas. Also noteworthy is the surname "Jessop" that so many of the FLDS adherents are named makes one wonder if they are all related, adding incest to this ugly package of religious insanity.  

What I found most interesting in this case - the first of 12 such cases coming up - was that the 15 year old girl Ray was screwing (one of his nine spiritual wives) was given to him after his brother was done screwing her the year before when she was 14.

Of course unlike Roman Polanski these creepy crawlers used a WHOLE JESUS rather than HALF A QUAALUDE to have their way with these little girls. Bring unto me the little children...
