Now here we have the NEW STUPID in Congress.
When trying to defend the endless stream of Republican Congressional Stupidity, all they can do is bring up BLACK Democrat congressman Hank Johnson who said adding 80,000 more military families to Guam would tip it over. This of course was not only tongue and cheek, but to make the point of tipping the environmental degradation by increasing the population of a small Pacific island by 50%. Not to mention sea level rising.
What is so cool about Steve King, whether it be saying Hispanics are 100 to 1 drug runners or comparing them to dogs, is he doesn’t step back, but doubles on down. As Mr Colbert says, Steve King makes public what is said behind most Republican closed doors.
So here we have the NEW MOST STUPID in Congress Steve King, replacing the OLD MOST STUPID in Congress, Michele Bachmann. Being Republicans goes without saying, but also note they are above all Evangelical Christians and creationists. The only question I have is do stupid people gravitate to Evangelical Christianity or does Evangelical Christianity make people stupid.
One thing is sure, every day in every way, Republican politics makes “Christian” synonymous with “Stupid.” A few tens of millions of bad apples can rot the lot.
BTW, the name for this form of racism and bigotry is called “nativism”. Steve King has replaced Tom Tancredo who as it’s spokesman. Tancredo lost his congressional seat in Colorado a few years ago. He is presently running for Governor of Colorado in 2014.
