It has always baffled me as to why – with all the things that send us to Hell in the Bible – that those who base their religion upon it dwell only in homosexuality which is mentioned so rarely and by Jesus Christ not at all. Or abortion that is not anywhere to be seen in any of it.
What about shrimp and ham and wearing polyester? And it being okay to stone to death adulterous women, men tending a fire to cook a chicken on the Sabbath, genocide and slavery.
Come to think of it this seems to be the whole problem, that horrible book written by nitwits in the Dark Ages. With its spin ins or spin outs of the Torah and the Koran. Let’s get rid of these books and see how religion adjusts to life as it is rather than life as it was thousands of years ago.
The religions of The Book are the problem. The books suck. Hey, we if take all the horrible crap and meaningless genealogy out of them and just leave the nice stuff, we could illustrate it and read it to our toddlers in a couple minutes before bed each night.
