Colbert: Muslim New York Times blasts Romeny’s $16 million La Jolla mansion

Mitt is still renovating his Califorina mansion to put in car elevators? How long as this been going on?  I especially like Mitt going to beach patrol telling people what the can and cannot do. This is something I run into very often down here in Dumbutt.

I have a fat old Golden Retriever who is now 7 years old and has yet to growl, or raise a lip to any living thing. He will demure to any other dog no matter a Pitbull or a Dachshund.  I take him to various beaches and bayous to throw the stick in the water which he likes. That is illegal now everywhere I go. Leash laws. This means after a few tosses comes some busybody in my face explaining leash laws to me.

I always ask the same question. “Are you telling me we no longer throw a stick for a dog to retrieve anywhere in Texas? Are you really saying that?” They point at some faraway sign and lecture me on the rule of law while I throw the stick again. With the advent of cell phones that flaunting of the law initiates a 911 call. To which I say, “Are you really calling the police on me for throwing a stick in the ocean for my dog? Really?” As they report me they again point to that faraway leash law sign that is present everywhere I go.They nod and snap their phones shut with a smirk. Sadly they are most always women.

I do  have a standard reply. “Perhaps the people of this area will one day create a giant statue of you a top that dune there, to enshrine you forever as the local Beach Enforcer! One hand pointing down at one and all and the other with a cell phone locked on 911! For as you well know everyone loves a snitch.”

I am also required to have my dog on a leash when I take it from the house to the car on my own property.

I have to set aside a certain amount of money each year to pay for DOG AT LARGE fines as I will never bend to that crap. Ever… NEVER!  A world where one is no longer allowed to throw a ball for a dog is a world gone too far over the top for me.  Dog at Large
