Republicans sure don’t like teachers. After all, most of them are smarter than most Republicans and nothing phises a Republican off more than a smarty pants. And even worse, teachers teach their children things like evolution, a little sex education, good eating habits, caring about the environment, not being a bully and other nice things. Nice things are not part of their ideology.
