Conan O’Brien investigated the New England Patriots’ Deflategate scandal, and found the bizarre ways in which they’ve broken the rules before, and a surprising link with Bill Cosby! In the Thursday night episode, Conan addressed the Patriots’ unauthorized use of deflated balls, and found the team has cheated in much more obvious ways in the past, and apparently got away with it. Conan has photographic evidence of the team cheating and it’s on TV, so it must be true!
In one highly memorable game, The Patriots replaced a lineman with a grizzly bear. In another victorious rout, they employed a helicopter to ferry the ball carrier to the goal posts. I am reminded that the goal posts had been somewhat widened for their convenience.
