In a few hours Governor Nikki Haley will sign the law to remove the confederate flag from the South Carolina statehouse grounds insuring her the VP spot for the Republican presidential nominee. Well, good for her.
I do hope the powers that be in South Carolina allow the two African American men who were forced to raise that flag after Bree Newsome heroically brought it down will be allowed to be the ones bringing it down once and for all. Not holding my breath though.
The Confederate flag does indeed symbolize Southern Heritage here listed in Letterman style:

1 And above all, the Southern Heritage of giving a personal slap in the face to every African American in America other than Clarence Thomas.
So indeed they are right in that the flag is indeed a symbol of Southern Heritage. And hold on to your hats, for the backlash is yet to begin. There is big anger down here, and they have big guns.
