Congress just went on a 6 week vacation, 2 weeks after their 5 week Summer vacation. They will be back after the election to do lame duck nothing stuff for two weeks before they take their Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations. Last year Congress was in session for 110 days. And that doesn’t count travel time going home on Fridays. That’s about half the time YOU work each year. And half the total time they are asking for money. This fact just in. In the two years before their elections, Senators spend 75% of their time fundraising.
This year Congress passed 65 bills, less than ever in our history. This is of course good as it allows the Koch Brothers and the NRA to run American rather than the damned fking government. Which other than dropping bombs on peons, only exists to take our hard earned tax money to dispense to all those… Well you know. The specific missing term is regional, but it is clear who they mean. To put it most kindly, the success of the Republican Party is to ride the Reagan white horse that the government is my enemy because it takes my hard earned tax money to give to those lazy bums downtown somewhere.
