Which brings to mind the federal government finally walking away from privatized prisons after finding that lo and behold, private for profit prisons are in business only to make a profit. Not only is there no rehab but there is also no responsibility for much of anything at all. 16% of federal prisons are private while only 6% of state and local prisons, which reflects upon the Republican control of Congress. For as in all things Republicans could care less about poverty and what comes of it.
