This covers the central matter o the Republican World View. Of course the piece dwells on the hypocrisy of doing it to THEM being fine but doing it to ME is unbearable. But where does that come from?
Firstly it is an inherent personal trait. Driven by the lack of the POV GENE. Point Of View. These people just do not have the ability to see anything at all from any pair of shoes other than their own.
Secondly is the Republican Bubble they live in that breeds this kind of ignorance. If they watch or read or listen to anything at all, it is Fox News, Talk Radio or the Drudge Report. NEVER anything else. Excuse me, I forgot my usual tie in. Or listen to their Right-wing Preachers on Sunday Mornings.
This AUDIT on Wayne Root has nothing to do with the IRS scandal afoot today. It is not about AUDITS, it is about giving tax free status to tax exempt political groups who claim they are social welfare groups. NOT AUDITS. In fact, it is not even that, it is delaying giving tax free status to political groups who claim to be social welfare groups. And only doing so for some months in 2010 after the political shattering Citizen’s United decision by the Supreme Court. Voted upon on strict political lines.
So besides this being a story of how Republicans don’t give a crap about anyone or anything but themselves, it is also made up crap.
If anything, I worry that the IRS does not audit Rush Limbaugh and his quarter million dollar contract out of fear of the power of his radio show.
