What I liked best was the clip that shows Gingrich actually saying poor children should pay for their public schooling "by cleaning toilets." And I thought I had embellished that.
Two of the themes running through this website is that it is racial bigotry and religious intolerance that drive Republican politics. I get poo-pooed quite often for that. Well here is another example of racial bigotry.
It is well understood that the Republican Base is surging toward Gingrich because they want someone to STOMP and DESTROY and ELIMINATE President Barack Obama from the White House with as much nasty hate filled crap as a man can muster, ie, Newt Gingrich.
What has the President DONE to create such extreme personal hatred and anger? Hell, TARP was Bush. $400 billion of the $700 billion stimulus were tax breaks, and he saved a few million jobs by bailing out GM and CHRYSLER which a Republican President would have done at the time. He did not close Gitmo, he doubled down on troops in Afghanistan and followed the Bush/Cheney draw down in Iraq. He allowed us to keep our kids on our insurance for an extra 5 years, made it so insurance companies cannot toss out people with preexisting conditions. He did replace two retiring male liberal SC justices with two liberal women justices, but that’s a wash.
So what does that leave? Well it’s either – like good Christians – they want Health Care dependent upon wealth and job security or they want to get that BLACK family out of their WHITE house.
What in the Hell you think they mean when they scream TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK! From whom specifically?
Sure it isn’t all about race, it has much to do with them hating anyone they know is smarter than they are – check the GOP field of candidates – but we all know what it’s really about. Remember, Barack Obama got 32% of the eligible voters in 2008.
