Betsy DeVos – not to be confused with Betsy Ross though both mindsets from 200 years in the past – failed her Senate confirmation hearing with an F-. But it will make no difference, we will soon have the biggest enemy of public education – other than Vice President Pence – running the Department of Education. Oh, Betsy says, we need guns in schools for bear attacks!
Just a reminder, Betsy DeVos is a multi billionaire of the Amway family. Amway, an evangelical fundamentalist Christian company with the biggest pyramid scheme in the world. Betsy DeVos who has been the loudest Michigan advocate for a voucher system. A system which takes your tax money away from public schools and gives it to religious schools. And David Duke’s new schools. Oh, and pays rich people back for much of what they pay to send their kids to rich kid schools.
As we have Rick Perry who wants to eliminate the Department of Energy as Secretary of Energy.
As we have the Jeff Sessions at the Justice Department who is the biggest enemy of Civil Rights in Congress.
As we have Tom Price at Health and Human Services who is against any form of universal health care.
As we have oil man Scott Pruitt at the EPA who not only is a Global Warming denier but has made his name in Oklahoma suing the EPA.
