Dan Savage(s) Ben Carson Over Idiotic Gay Choice Remarks

Dan Savage(s) Ben Carson Over Idiotic Gay Choice Remarks

Dan Savage, well-known gay advocate and syndicated sex columnist took issue with Ben Carson’s asinine assertion that being gay is a choice, because people “come out gay” after being in prison.  Carson’s deduction  causes me to long to see Carson behind bars, so he can prove his ridiculous theory; but Dan Savage suggests an alternative way for Carson to prove his zany theory, and  Savage is willing to help him do it.

Savage fired back at Carson’s lame assertion that gay is a choice, with a controversial suggestion.  “If being gay is a choice, prove it.” He challenged: “Choose it. Choose to be gay yourself. Show America how that’s done, Ben, show us how a man can choose to be gay.” Here Dan Savage invited Carson to “suck my* – (to perform oral sex on Savage) adding, ” Name the time and the place and I’ll bring my **** and a camera crew and you can  (Deleted expletive) and win the argument. ”

Savage proves how denying LGBT people rights, might backfire on religious conservatives.  Paraphrasing, Savage says if religious conservatives argue that if something is a choice, like being gay, it doesn’t deserve civil rights protection – then they need to be consistent and argue and  strip away civil rights protection for people who belong to organized religion. ”

Savage is overwhelmed by the sheer ugliness of Conservative arguments. Rick Santorum and Ben Carson constantly try to make LGBT people out to be deviants on the road to hell.  They compare gay folk to child rapists, animal molesters, and even those who practice necrophilia…Such imaginations, the Religious Right have!

Again addressing his eye-opening offer, Savage explains, speaking of Carson. “He really says the vilest and most disgusting things about gay people. And sometimes to get the attention of someone like that, to make it clear to them how low and disgusting they’re being how vile they’re being, you have to meet them on the field where they’re doing battle and take them on.”

Dan certainly has their attention. I only hope they can get past his ‘offer’ to address the inequities he explained so well. Why do  they pretend to be so passionate about this issue? In what way will it personally affect them adversely; is it like the lame argument against legalizing marijuana…The one that claims ‘if it’s legal, then everyone will do it?’   I honestly don’t know, and am open to any and all suggestions.
