David Letterman's Monologue: Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham & Pope Francis

David Letterman’s monologue includes but is not limited to –  the miracles of Saint Francis,  the Republican front-runners – Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and Lindsey Graham,  as well as Great Moments in Presidential Speeches!

Dave poked a bit of fun at Mitt Romney’s much-touted charity boxing match with Evander Holyfield; but quickly left the two-time loser, in order to focus on current Republican presidential (losers) and  hopefuls. We know Ted Cruz is in the running, and of course Donald Trump is a given, but I’m guessing you don’t know that Lindsey Graham is ‘The Man With a Plan,’ but nary a clue. You’ll have to watch the video to find out what Lindsey has in store for the country.

“Great Moments in Presidential Campaign Speeches” reveals much about the candidates, by famous quotations they have employed. Here, we’re treated to brief quotations by Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and – most revealing of all, Ted Cruz.  Hint:  his quote was borrowed from a Tom Cruise movie.

I would like to ask you if  we can ever trust that Ted Cruz’s true fealty is with America and not with his home country, his country of birth?  As you’re well aware, Birthers feared that Obama would topple this country and turn it over to the Kenyan anti-colonialists, Crazy Commies League and the Muslim Brotherhood. Those were confusing days.
Why are those same Birthers not concerned that Ted Cruz seeks only to grab the reins and hand the country over to that aggressive, socialist country to the north, the land of free health care, and other evils, Canada,  the land of his birth?
If by some fluke he is elected, we all (atheists and theists alike) will be praying  for the ‘Canadian’  outcome. At last, the Right will have united us all in prayer!
