John Oliver is no more a fan of Donald Trump than he is of Budweiser beer, which he has labeled, “Budweiser, America’s favorite liquid yeast infection.” John has less flattering things to say about Trump. The big news is that Budweiser – which ironically is based in Belgium, is renaming their bilge water, “AMERICA” for the next six months.
I can’t help but think of Dos Equis, and their former spokesman, ‘The Most Interesting Man in the World.” I think we can agree that although he was a fictional character, he was suave,well-spoken,worldly, and well – interesting!
Now think of the exact polar opposite.
I think you know where I’m going with this. While “America” didn’t officially hire a spokesman, Fox and Friends became giggly and giddy, certain that the beer was named for someone special! Naturally they phoned to tell him right away. Now ‘someone special’ assumes America beer was named for him. Ever modest, Trump reasoned; “They’re so impressed with what our country will become that they decided to do this before the fact.”
On the surface, this is all somewhat disgusting, but John Oliver feels that this is truly a match made in heaven for oh-so many reasons – and I think you’ll agree. Meanwhile, stay thirsty my friends, but don’t power-puke America and make a big old stinky orange mess!
