This Dover policeman’s dash-cam video has gone viral. Maybe he forgot about the camera, or maybe he just didn’t care what the officers saw when they reviewed it. I’m just glad we got to see what this officer is like when he believes no one is watching.
In recent months there have been so many grim police stories to report, that it’s nice to be reminded that not all police are bad. Like people from any profession, there are the good the bad and the ugly. Some are serious and some – like this officer, enjoy life whenever they can. The officer is cruising with Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” playing. If it’s not his favorite song, it’s a close runner up! Our officer is loving life. He is singing along, doing all the hand gestures and “dancing” – with attitude. He should be arrested for perpetrating cuteness.
It’s lucky that he’s in a rural area, because that means less interactions with other cars. Watch him hilariously snap into serious mode, to nod or signal someone by. The very second he’s past them, he reverts right back to party time. .
The Dover Police Department posted the video to YouTube on January 16, where it is now at well over 20 million views.
