In this medium we run into these Republican Buttuglies all the time in comments and forums and websites, but seldom do we see major newspapers actually print this kind of ugly Right-wing swill, well outside of Texas anyway. But wait… The Houston Chronicle is a Republican Lite paper – other than understandably being in the pocket of the Oil Companies they are fairly reasonable. So perhaps the Chronicle printed this for the same reason I am putting it here. Exposure of the very definition of the Ugly American.
Infuriating
Regarding "Illegal in the light of day" (Page A1, Saturday), your picture on the front page did not elicit sympathy, only nausea.
Law-abiding Americans have no sympathy for criminals. Furthermore, the claim by liberals that education is a basic human right is incorrect. No American has the right to be given money that has been forcibly extorted from other Americans, but most of us will tolerate it to a point.
But having our money forcibly taken from us to be given to trespassing foreigners is infuriating to say the least.
Why don’t liberals give their money to these causes and issues they feel so strongly about? They care enough to give my money, but not quite enough to give their own.

You see, not only are poor Mexicans coming here to work hard for their families back home "criminals" but their children who had no choice in the matter are also "criminals". In this case those kids who are in the top of their class in their education and need a legal leg up to get into college.
I wonder who Boyd does have any sympathy for if not INNOCENT children on the cusp of success deported back to a cartel controlled village they have nothing in common with.
This kind of ugly bigotry and xenophobia then spreads from innocent Hispanic children to all "foreigners".
And of course we see that pathological Libertarian, Ayn Randian selfishness that American is no village, no community and most certainly no brothers keeper in Texas – but rather a nation who extorts and steals private property from good white people to "promote the general welfare" of children, the old, the infirm, the poor and above all, those who do not look like Boyd Cates or have funny sounding names. And… This crap has come to be sponsored by Jesus Christ. It is beyond disgusting.
