Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, and Lawrence O’Donnell express bitter disappointment that the President chose to focus on economic issues while the Tuscon tragedy is still fresh in the public consciousness, and nothing has been done to stem the tide or irresponsible gun ownership and use.
Chris Matthews reveals that far from ignoring gun control, President Obama will devote an entire address to that subject very soon. This isn’t a warning to the Teabaggers to stock up – again. Even Dick Cheney has stated that the ban on multi-round clips such as Jared Loughner used needs to be reinstated. No one felt that their guns were being fondled, much less grabbed when that law was in effect during the Bush years.
