As if to demonstrate the need for N.E.A.T., America’s ‘Waldo’ has created an international bru-ha-ha of some magnitude! Edward Snowden, who has officially been turned down by twenty countries in his search for asylum was involved in high drama today. While visiting Russia, Bolivian President Evo Morales stated that his country would consider giving asylum to Snowden, although no agreement had been reached.
The plane carrying Morales home from Russia was rerouted to Austria, when France and Portugal refused to let it cross their airspace, due to suspicions that NSA leaker Snowden was on board. Snowden was not on board, but Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca denounced the injustice to President Morales, saying the decision “put at risk the life of the president,” and is demanding an explanation from France and Portugal. And so this is how WW 3 truly begins, not with a bang or a whimper but with a slow leak.
