I have recently been reading all the old Russian authors, finding I like the conservative Dostoevsky better than the liberal Tolstoy which I can’t seem to put my finger on the why of. In fact one of my biggest mistakes in pushing people away down here has telling funny drinking or party stories and stupidly premising it with “in the animal house I lived in back in college.” I then see the “damn elitist Yankee” in their eyes to find it best to premise that with “before I flunked out” which gets me a free beer or two.
As The Donald has shown us it is not so much urban/rural as it is smart/stupid when it comes to the American electorate. And with Ted Cruz as their only other option, the GOP is stuck with which is better, stupid or crazy?
