The Jimmy Fallon Show hit Hollywood Blvd. to break the news that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt died today. Although FDR actually ‘left the building’ in 1945, people certainly appear to remember him fondly.
I learned a lot about President Roosevelt from these typical Americans. For instance, I was startled to learn that one young woman had recently seen Roosevelt’s ‘stand-up, sit-down, fall-out’ comedy routine. Apparently he killed with the Obama ear jokes! That is a side of him we never saw in history books. Let this be a lesson, teachers must find a way to make history come alive!
