Are Female News Anchors Showing More Skin? Conan O'Brien, Brian Williams

TV Anchor Women seem to be answering a call to arms (clothless arms) this year. Conan O’Brien investigates recent accusations by many female – and some male anchors, that it is not their idea to show it all, but it is demands from networks which are keeping them in goosebumps, while most male counterparts stay toasty warm in blazers!

Former CNN anchor Krian Chetry and PBS’s Jody Woodruff spoke out in length on Sunday’s “Reliable Sources” about the way women in TV are scrutinized over their appearance…And this year, they’re blaming bare arms on toned Michelle Obama! Sorry gals, it’s a lamentable trend everywhere this year.  Networks have made helpful suggestions to their female employees for years, which they apparently don’t make to their male counterparts – as a rule. A request to change his hair color or wear skimpier trousers would garner a laugh from televised male news anchors…But not the ladies. I mean, who has ever seen ‘Morning Joe’s’ legs? We see Mika’s every day, even when there is a blizzard.
But we’re seeing the exceptions to that sexist rule tonight!

Brian Williams – always dapper, whether reporting the news or rapping on Fallon, is  seen conducting his show in a tank top – the better for viewers to check out ‘the guns.’ Wolf Blitzer is stunning and unforgettable in his network mandated black lingerie…What lovely skin he has, and he’s been keeping it under wraps!

Former CNN anchor Krian Chetry and PBS’s Jody Woodruff spoke out on Sunday’s “Reliable Sources” about the way women in tv are scrutinized over their appearance. After receiving and dismissing numberous ‘suggestions’ about hair color, wardrobe and yes-showing more skin…Woodruff stated, “getting the news out and focusing on the content of the stories should be a journalists’s first priority.”   However, it appears that according to networks, she should be like Ginger Rogers. A female news anchor should do everything a man can do, but backward, wearing heels – and in this case, showing a lot of skin.
