After Fred Thompson signed up to replace Bill O’Reilly with a two hour daily conservative radio show coming this March, some very talented video artists came up with a Fred Thompson impersonator that is so dead on it is scary. I checked the Onion which is not responsible.
This hilarious video exaggerates the painfully slow talking Law and Order actor who was once the junior Senator from Tennessee. The cigar is so big I am sure it would put the fear of God into even Monica Lewinsky. The Southern drawl so over the top that I am also sure a lot of giggling from the film crew had to be edited out by the producers. To imagine anyone on the radio talking that slow for two hours in a row brings to mind that old saying, praise the coke and pass the crank!
But the true hilarity in this video is listening to this very talented impersonator promote more wars, unregulated free markets, tax relief for the wealthy, a cold shoulder to help any American anywhere with anything EVER while he also reminds us of all the other issues that lost John McCain and the Republicans the past too national elections. Satire gone too far perhaps?
The obvious problem with the video is that the producers forgot that no one could possibly suffer through the 8 and a half minutes of this slow talking bloated barnyard star, Foghorn Leghorn.
