No other Republican wants a part of signing a paper which will be rolled up and used to swat their noses if they stray again into the murky realm of outwardly condemned Republican sexual misconduct. In fact, it has become a ‘paper chase’ of sorts, as right thinking folks beseech Newt and Mitt to sign!
Far from the land mine field Gingrich seems to envision, this is a golden do-over! The footnotes provide a way to all but reinstate Newt’s virginity. Ironically it will take more than foot-notes to make Mitt Romney comfortable with this pledge.
