God's favorite Band Green Day, Still Breathing, Stephen ColbertIs it any wonder that the Orange Buffoon is trying to destroy the arts – which the Republican Party has been trying to do since Newt Gingrich became Speaker of the House in 1994. Green Day and the lyrics in this song are art. It’s a simple political message that in a roundabout way expresses the upbeat political message that hey douchbags, we are still around and we will vote next time.

So unlike conservative lyrics that only make clear statements because art is confusing to animals and Republicans. They just flat out say it like it is.  I love America. My pickup truck is full of beer. I fly the flag. My woman loves my boots. And so on. And so forth.

Much like a redneck at the art museum. They stick to the rooms filled with portraits, landscapes and religious depictions from the old masters. Passing quickly through the rooms with anything newer than Monet you can hear them mumbling that their kids could to that crap.

You see, that kind of art, this kind of music makes one think about it. What is the point? What is that artist trying to say or do. How does it emotionally or intellectually move me.

Which is why Donald Trump won the election. There is no wonder there, there is no mystery, there is nothing to think about, it is just smash your face with four word phrases you want to hear. Thinking only makes life confusing.
