In the most recent political send-up from Funny or Die,Tom Bergeron hosts the hottest new game show, where Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, John Kasich, Chris Christie and Jeb Bush try to find the answers that will earn them cold, hard cash (or soft money) for their campaigns.
If the candidate’s debate answers seemed somewhat lackluster, just wait until you see hear those very same answers in reply to Bergeron’s zany and unrelated questions. Suddenly the candidates and the answers (somewhat) make sense!
The game is a Republican candidate’s dream. There are no “gotcha questions” from ‘ left-leaning, mainstream media’ and no wrong answers to questions like “Say something a president would never say.” Even the stone cold losers are winners here. Add to that, the payoff is immediate when Tom shoots off his money-gun!
It’s all fun and games for Tom Bergeron whom I suspect resides on another planet; but his message might make your blood run cold; “Run for the Cash, it’s a fun game, but the future of our country – and the world hangs in the balance!”
