It goes to show you how things have changed since early the 1990s when the elections were about IT’S THE ECONOMY STUPID while now IT’S WHITE PEOPLE STUPID.
As you can see the economy no longer matters, since when? Since the rise of Fox News and talk radio who have made the central political issue more about hating liberals, Mexicans and blacks and black presidents than anything else. In fact that all is what matters most to Republicans since when? Since a black man and his family fouled the WHITE House.
After all, liberals are the spawn of multiculturalism [improving race relations], political correctness [being nice], feminism [equal pay for equal work] and of course theft through taxation to give to – how to put that, hmmm – multiculturalism.
Here’s what the Democrats gave us this time around:
– 65 straight months of economic growth
– A record 56 months of private sector job growth
– unemployment falling from 10.1% to 5.9%
– The budget deficit reduced by two-thirds
– Fewer Americans in harm’s way in war zones
– More than doubled the stock market growth
Here’s what Republicans gave us the last time they were in charge:
– Two economic recession
– The worst financial collapse since the Great Depression
– The worst terrorist attach in history
– The two longest wars in US history
– The worst record of job creation since Hoover
– A complete collapse of the stock market
– A budget surplus turned into a trillion dollar deficit
– Vote against raising minimum wage
– Vote against equal pay for equal work
– Vote to suppress the vote
– Vote to tear apart families to deport 5 million Mexicans
– Giving corporations the same rights and individuals
And that’s not to mention the religious intolerance, the homophobia, the War on Women’s reproduction rights and of course the most recent issue the GOP has latched onto, support of white cops who kill unarmed black men. What’s not to like? And for them it’s a win, win, win, win! Well at the Diary Queen anyway.
